Lot's of "shouldn't be losing to teams like Coventry" and "we're aiming for promotion and Coventry will be looking to stay up" on social media.

Have they had significant investment or something? Just seems a huge opinion for a middle table championship club that hasn't done much for years.

Thought it was an even game, then we pulled away but we more than matched them imo, fully deserved the win.

Newsflash : Coventry Won't be looking to just stay up , and will be challenging boro for a top half spot 😉

Always had a very high opinion of themselves. They were screaming for Pulis to be sacked when they were in the top 6.

Guess we've been the easy target for too long. Most clubs seem to think they should be beating us. Even Reading were being very critical of themselves for losing to us. Robins and the team are proving a lot of clubs wrong which is great to see.

I lot of these established so called bigger fish are stale/stagnant entities unlike us who've fallen to rise with dynamism and that impetus driving us onward
The owner did say it way back amongst all the aggro, *I want to make Coventry City a new club".
Hard stuff to swallow but it has been done up to now.IMO

I’ve been through their forums and they are complimentary towards us but there are a few, like other clubs who just automatically think they should be beating us.
Doesn’t matter. Can’t stop looking at the table. 4 wins from 6!!!

In fairness, we rarely are hard to beat historically. Pre 2nd Robins era, once one goal went in, we rarely got a result.

We need to establish ourselves as a team difficult to beat, then we're halfway there mentally before we even kick off.

And that's why I said we've been the easy target for too long :) Clubs came to Highfield Road or the Ricoh expecting to roll us over (I won't mention away performances). The League 1 title season started the turn. This season, 3 home games and 3 wins, is starting to show that not only do the team have a stronger backbone but with a lot of goals coming in 2nd half stoppage time, our fitness levels have improved dramatically so we're able to push forward more persistently and for longer than we've known for ages.

Here's to this continuing (and hopefully being duplicated in our poor away form) 🍻

Something similar to the Burnley model would suit us I’d say.

Not sure why, they're in a similar bracket to Sunderland but with even less pedigree.

That said, Steve Gibson really deserves a better return for his 25 years of bankrolling them.

They said there was a lot of fighting by the coaches, and that Robin's needs to be on the list for their next manager.

Other than numbers, didn’t think they were any better than Reading fans. Dull and quiet.
They made more noise outside the ground, notably in car park B when there were some running battles and bloody noses until they were herded onto coaches.
Never liked Boro fans since one tried to get my City scarf when I was a 17 year old (girl, 5 foot, 7 stone) and punched me in the face. He then hit my 13 year old sister too.
Didn't get our scarves though.😏🤣

What we lack In numbers we make up for in other ways don't worry , like I said , we are getting a good name
It's pretty busy round by me in Block 15. I wonder if that's a result of the very attractive ST pricing this season.

As the club are now getting a cut of the food/drink takings, then putting the ticket prices up for next campaign might be a false economy.

Great atmosphere yesterday. We need to maintain that.

How many years have we been having issues in car park B? Surely can't be that hard to work out a way to not push supporters of both sides into the same area?

If two sets of idiots want to kick off with each other then don't do it in the car park where kids and families are trying to make their way home.

The issue is the separation, it is too segregated. For years fans were just allowed to mingle outside and there were no issues. It's what happens at just about every other ground in the country, fans mix on exit.

One flash point at the Ricoh and up went the barriers. If you are going to herd people behind steel fences it gives people the opportunity to goad each other. A real regressive step putting up those barriers imo.

I love it when fans like Boro's say stuff like "We should be beating teams like Coventry". I just eat that up with a spoon. That's the kind of thing that should be posted up in the dressing room as an incentive to perform. Let those team's fans continue to show no respect. They'll learn.

Spot on this. Outdated strategies.
