Randomly watched John Carpenters They Live the other day. A film that can only be described as so bad it’s good. Now looking for recommendations of other films that fall into this category.

I liked it a lot when it first came out. Then rewatched it many years later and found it incredibly cheesy and found it hadn't aged well at all.

Then saw it again just a few weeks ago and thought why the hell did I like this film back in 1998!

The reviews ARE good though

I think it just dated really badly.

'The man who killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot'. I'll admit the title alone intrigued me enough to watch this on film4 (I think) late last Sunday evening. I don't ever recall having heard of this one before - That said, I'm not a massive filmy and haven't subscribed to any TV packages in over twenty years plus its general cinema release (if it even had one) may have been brief.
Sam Neill takes the lead and his character portrayal is brilliant. I won't give away any spoiler by revealing the plot if you haven't already seen it (The title say's it all anyway) but I think this one may fall into the category you have suggested.

And, 'They Live' is a cult classic. One of the best sci-fi's ever made.

I mean if that title doesn’t make you at least a tiny bit curious I don’t know what will.

When you inevitably want to scratch your eyes out after 5 minutes, please please please watch the last 5 mins 😂

I remember really finding Goal 3 funny when it came out because it had no correlation to the other two films , the main player wasn’t even the main character and it was so confusing and poor it was entertaining. Not seen it recently so can’t tell you if I still think that. Might be worth a watch for a laugh though

The Happening, by M Night Shyamalan. Awful when watched as a horror film, a genuine 10/10 when watched as a slapstick comedy.
