Heard off a very reliable source, from within the club, that O'hare is in extreme demand. Apparently the club turned down an offer from an overseas team and a top end Champ team, but it's still looking like a bidding war is about to take place. Gutted

I heard around 4 million cash was bid, but the club are after 5 with add-ons similar to Maddison deal.
If we could hold out for another year he could be worth double that but hard to turn down 5 mill with add on's in the current environment

Criminal if we sell him for that. He’s a top Championship player.
You have to speculate to accumulate. It’s where we are isn’t it? Be gutted of course but would completely understand if it meant we improved the overall squad

Understandably due to the pandemic finances are tight, but it would be incredibly short sighted by the club if O'Hare is sold now. Bar a long-term injury he's only going to continue to improve.
In the clubs defence, say he does get a bad injury - there goes 5 million quids

If he could find some shooting form next season he’d be worth double that in a years time.

Obviously that's why they'd sell now. But in the same breath he could potentially go on to have an even better season than he did during the last campaign which would drive up his value up exponentially.

Playing it safe also in turn loses them money but due to the model and the pandemic it's understandable they'd potentially look to cash in. So, whilst I think it's incredibly short sighted, I do appreciate the club's position.

Suspect bollocks given the source (never forget owlgate :ROFLMAO: ), but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if clubs are preparing bids for him. How many things was he at or near the top for last season? Obviously the ‘most fouled’ title is one he could do without, but he’s clearly good enough to interest top end champ clubs, or say a Norwich who could also sweeten the deal by leaving him with us for a season. Really hope we’ve put out the ‘not for sale’ message at this moment in time. Top, top player.

Hope we can hold on. He really kicked on second half of the season, far more end product and only really shooting to work on. Another season of progression and he could be back in the prem

It was the mitigation employed when Maddison went.
Too soon to let the kid go.,but something has to replace the missing secondary add ons as former players move about.

We don't really know what the chat was when he signed on, possibly "Give me everything this season and we'll see you progress and wont stand in the way".

Idiotic if we let him go now; he has helped massively to re-establish our new found identity - won't be worth any less in a year (or two) and will probably increase his value disproportionately to inflation etc. It also helps send out positive message to other players, both existing and potential recruits if we keep him. I'd be way more gutted if we let him go, compared to Hamer (who I also want to keep). We will already struggle to get loans of a similar quality as last season (hopefully we do) and we have to be careful that we don't end up with a weaker squad/first team than last, which could easily happen re: loss of Ostigard, McCallum and James. We also have forwards to recruit.

O’Hare is one of our few players who can inject pace into our play. If he moves on then I’m concerned that we will become a slow predictable team

There is nothing to suggest he is leaving or clubs are interested other than a poster on here who’s usually on the windup.

I hate these threads - stress me out. I need to wait until next week when the 'actual' wheeling dealing starts!

Hope it's bollocks. Cue CT click bait tomorrow after they've scoured Facebook and found no evidence to the contrary.

Mate it’s shocking but the usual sisu lovers are out in force. Missed out on Walsh, Collins and James due to the embargo now o’hare is off and probably Hamer too. Cunts

Just to point out, his value wouldn’t double next year. If anything it’s likely to halve. He’ll only have 1 year left on his contract.

we need to get him and Hamer on extensions before their values increase. Otherwise peak selling time would be now

Clearly had his head turned. Must have the same agent as Hamer. Best sell both on the cheap in case performance drops
