Been working away in Chepstow area recently. I thought the old, blind drivers in Dorset were bad, but I've never seen so many shit/arrogant drivers in one place!

Is this common any Wales based sky blues?

It's ironic, because out of the car, everyone is lovely!

Northern Ireland is about the worst place to drive. Everyone thinks they’re Paddy Hopkirk. And you have to join in and drive faster than is sensible otherwise you’ll get swept of the road. Don’t know what the RTA rates are compared to the rest of the U.K. but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s much higher.

I will confess my standard's have dropped in this year of lockdowns etc

Far less confident , very tentative at junctions or overtaking , purely through lack of practice, regular usage.
Possibly not helped by my ability to turn my kneck as well as I used to,and the vision from my mirror's, general vision from a Peugeot 5008 being pretty shit and quite slow Lol.

Since the ease of restrictions and the increase of traffic, yes, driving standards seem at an all time low. There seems to be a massive disregard of even the most basic of rules. Backlog of 400,000 driving tests being rushed out, I can’t wait.

Thanks to my mum coming from near Belfast we had all our summer holidays in Northern Ireland in the 80s and early 90s. Tbh my dad’s driving improved when we were there...I think it was the only place he wouldn’t experience his extreme ‘road rage’...”you dunno who you’re shouting at”!

Lived in Newport for a couple of years and I don't remember it being any worse than back here in Cov. Had a few disagreements with people at the queues for the Severn Bridge tolls but you get the same behaviour anywhere traffic stacks up. The problem is the widespread existence of weapons with driving licenses, we need a fucking cull.

Loads of English live in Wales so unless you know where the driver is from its difficult to say it's down to the Welsh. I regularly drive a road from Bala in to Porthmadog, a journey of some 30 miles. Beautiful scenery through the mountains and a well maintained road but absolute idiots overtaking where they shouldn't and putting everyone at risk. I know for sure the majority are English going on holiday.
Chepstow may be in Wales but loads of English live / drive there so in my opinion the Welsh are no worse.

I have never known a place with more redneck drivers from 18-50 than Warwick. The number of battered out cars stuck to your back bumper in 30 zones and modified Corsas per head of population must far exceed the national average

Warwick drivers are some of the more civilised ones! They always dutifully let me out the top of the road by the hospital rather than racing to close the gap.
