Hope QPR do us a favour and beat them on Tuesday. If they do a point is decent on Thursday but if Rotherham win on Tuesday we need to beat them on Thursday.

Win and we overtake Derby and Birmingham as well as potentially Huddersfield if they lose on Tuesday
Thursday Friday and Saturday chill on Sunday

They haven't scored a single goal in their last 3 games and have a terrible home record. Where does that confidence come from that they will win against a very decent QPR side?

🤷🏼‍♂️

Teams fighting for survival tend to get the odd good result. QPR do not travel well. Rotherham i recall went and won 3 nil at Middlesbrough recently, so I'd caution any approach that we are nailed on here.

Rotherham have 3 or is it 4 home games in a row. What's the odds they would lose them all? I doubt that and so a win or maybe tw is coming from somewhere you would think. Lets hope it's not us!

Biggest game of the season, not sure robins will send them out 2 up front maybe more going out not to lose.

Draw

Yes it is the biggest game of the season, but the season doesn't end with it.

We can lose and still stay up or we could win and still go down.

It is a big game and we would certainly help ourselves by winning or at least drawing.

I reckon there’s more pressure on Rotherham, the QPR result will be key, lose or draw Rotherham must really win Thursday, beat QPR they must not lose Thursday.

No-one has said we are nailed on though.

I admire your posts and optimism.
Seen enough relegation battles over the years. Much more on the game for Rotherham and that may likely count for more than overall ability difference between the RU and QPR in a one-off game. Sadly I expect below average recent home form will change.
No obvious difference between RU and Sky Blues in ability.

Biggest game of the season? Means we will lose... lol 😂

Does it? Robins track record in 'big' games is good.

Checkatrade final, Play Off semi and final, Stoke FA Cup, the final two games against Sunderland and Leicester.

Can't think of many other big games that we've lost under Robins.

EDIT: Ipswich. Ffs!

Seriously squeaky-bum time...Rotherham's games in hand are a concern if they utilise them well, but here's hoping that fatigue and form mire any sniff of catching us up. Big, big, game against them. 2-0 City. PUSB

Rotherham have 3 or is it 4 home games in a row. What's the odds they would lose them all?

If you tell me the odds that they will lose each game, I'll work out the odds they lose all of them. So, for example, the odds they lose on Tuesday are 7/4. Same on Thursday (just over) - taken from Betfair. The odds they lose both are approx. 7/1.

The Brum game odds are roughly the same. Using the odds from Betfair on all three, the odds they lose all three are approx. 22/1.

Those are the only three upcoming games that have a market just now. Their next game is also at home versus Boro. If I use the same odds as QPR (seems reasonable), the odds they lose all 4 are approx. 60/1.

I doubt that and so a win or maybe two is coming from somewhere you would think.

Those are the odds that they lose all three. The odds that they don't win any are about 5/1 (because they can draw some). The chances of losing all 4 being small does not equate to "they may win one or two".

Who thought Wycombe would beat them at home ,not me in fact our point at home to them looks a good point in hindsight. In fact Rotherham at home is not a home banker and I think they will be lucky to get 5 points at the most from us,QPR,and brum so a point could be a big point it does depend on what QPR side turns up on Tuesday for a win could start a run of good form but a defeat could be the beginning of the end.

I actually did have a sneaky feeling Wycombe would win that one.

That is three very tough games for Rotherham coming up now. QPR, us and Birmingham..
Worst of all for them, stacked up. Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday with no respite or rest..

And while they might be able to rotate a few players between the games, it’s not like they could keep everybody fresh all week. All we can do is look after our own performance and avoid going behind in the first minute, for a change!

My concern is we played okay yesterday but still lost 4-1 score flattered Bournemouth a bit but again we conceded preventable goals at crucial times especially their second, poor defending and goalkeeping error, going to be a lot of pressure Thursday, crosses etc. Rotherham can bully too we don’t saw that at their place last season, We concede a lot of silly free-kicks. But the longer we keep the game level the more Rotherham will push and hopefully leave space at the back. Going to be a tough one.

Rotherham fans generally of the view they should try and pick the best possible side for each game, which I’d agree with. We haven’t won away in over 3 months, no better chance to change that habit

I don't get this home and away argument this season.
The manager just needs to set the team up to be positive and take the game to Rotherham.
It's not complicated.
Whether we are playing at St Andrews, the Ricoh or the NYS is itrrelevant at the moment.

It is other than we are the 11th best team in the league at home and the worst away

Well it’s probably because we’ve only managed 11 points away this season so even with nobody at the ground something’s clearly up. The shit goal-o-meter is especially high

The home and away argument though HAS been chalk and cheese for us. Very good at home, awful away

They SHOULD pick their best team on Tuesday. Especially with QPR being on the beach and whatnot

Our game on Thursday is going to depend a lot on what the team Rotherham play against QPR (i.e is it their best 11). They don’t have a massive squad they can rotate. So will players be tired against us or will they be on adrenaline because it’s a massive relegation game? Will any players get injured on Tuesday?

Then we need to see what team Robins will put out with injuries in defence. Will Hyam come back? Does Eccles stay at RWB? Don’t think Robins trusts Dacosta at all. Is Hamer an option? Will Robins take a gamble? Godden is miles off the pace, so should Viktor start and God comes on as an impact player against tired players?

Fact is we’re awful away from home and Robins needs to make some very tough tactical decisions to win this game.

His first thought will be to not lose the game and I expect that’s how we will set up
