“I’d love to make a few more signings to go with the quality we have already got.
"That’s got to be our goal and we’ll go all out to get it because if we can get people signed then we will give ourselves a chance and I’m confident about that, but first and foremost we need to give ourselves a proper base fitness, which I didn’t think we had last year because of the restriction we had with numbers.”

This is from an article on Cov Mad, and the quotes sound to me like we have no more immediate transfers lined up. AT saying he would live to make more signings is miles from saying we have transfers waiting to happen. Also saying he wants to get the fitness sorted first, again IMO suggests he is focusing on what we have.

Hope I'm reading to much in to this, but time will tell.

We can all second guess his words.

Maybe he's just being careful with what he's saying cos it's come back and bit him on the bum before hasn't it.

I don't believe a word any of them say, I find this to be the best way.

Well if he does the interview to make it sound as if we are signing new players and we don't, he will have it thrown in his face for the next 12 months and be accused of being a SISU yes man and just trying to sell season tickets

I find the quote that we didn't have base fitness because of the restriction in numbers last season bewildering. He makes it sound as if we have larger numbers this year when, in fact, 10 players have left (including loanees) and just 3 have come in. we are, therefore, even more restricted in numbers than we were.

WE are forgetting the 6 youth players we have given contracts to 6 + 3 = 9 new additions could this mean the end to the transfer coming in

think it means the youth players are part of the equation.
