Yea, like i said I've changed my mind
No point having a mind if you can't change it!

People can argue whether Biamou is good enough or not, but no one can doubt he has continued to improve from the player we signed. Bakayoko hasn't improved at all (apart from offsides lol).

All the training he’s had it’s clear his brain doesn’t absorb fuck all robins is telling the guy it’s more bizarre he was given another year and now we’re trying to offload

Even if we sign a new striker, I don’t think Robins will offload Baka while Godden and Walker are both out unfortunately. I would rather Bremang have been given a go today.

"Offloading" or "getting rid" of a player is not straightforward or easy.
Something called contracts get in the way!!
Mutual consent can allow players to leave but that still often involves players taking some sort of pay out from the club.
There has to be someone willing to take on a player in other instances.
Who would want these players that we should "get rid of" and be willing to pay for them?
Loans can be arranged too....but people need to be interested in said players.
Said players that may be loaned will generally go lower, so contribution to wages will be minimal, if any, so the player is still a monetary burden to the club.

Not easy to get rid of a player...

Oddly I hardly start threads about individual players but if that’s the best the guy can do when he must know his career is on the line - well it’s a shocker

People say we have no budget. We may as well take a punt on a national league player if that’s the case. It’s pretty embarrassing when an 18 year old whose not even a striker looks more likely

Dreadful signing - absurd decision to extend - goodbye
He's not been good enough. Don't think anyone can argue with that.

I tipped Baka as a surprise package this year but looks like I was well wide of the mark.
I'd honestly have Pontechelli back in place of him. At least he's got a strikers instinct even.if he's got a miners physique

I actually think Baka is a pretty decent finisher when he's had a chance on goal, but as others have said, I can't really think of many (if any) shots he's had this season.
He always seems to be in the wrong position and the amount of times we've been counter attacking and he's just jogging up from the half way line, it's so frustrating.

Think Robins must be aware of this, but seems it just can't be coached into him

Walsall fans warned us.
But unbelievably some on here still rate him.
He's taking up a squad position that could be given to someone who actually gives a fuck.

He won’t in around the game by the time he’s 30

He’s a bit part player. The more pressing concern is that we have a player starting almost every match in Callum O’Hare who stops functioning within 25 yards of the opposition goal.
Although he’s one of the best in the team up to that point. I’ll admit he could do with more composure in the final third, but if you think he’s one of the main problems we have then we truly are fucked.

Why we picking the bones out of this!?

We all know this. The Reason we lost today has nothing to Baka neither is it his fault. But to start another thread after the match today about him is ridiculous.

The lads done his best. It just ain't good enough.

Sorry but that's not true.

Regardless of whether you think he's good enough or not, that's a different question, he is a better player than when he joined.

This is it though isn't. He has improved but so has our level of competition. So really just treading water.

In which way has he improved? I can't see it but happy to be proven wrong.

Can someone please explain why Bakayoko is being slaughtered as the hot topic of the day!? I don't get it.

It's obvious we can do better have patience window only just opened.

He is hardly being slaughtered compared to Shipley

I wouldn't say dreadful signing as he helped us get promoted even if not pivitol he played his part

Needs to go in summer. Right now I'm not too bothered i think if he or max consistently start games we will do enough to stay up

I was impressed with max overall game today and look forward to him starting few championship matches in a row now

Because people need a boo boy and it's Baka's turn this week, it was sheaf last week and dacosta for the first half today

Quite frankly it's disgusting.

Start thread. Pile in everyone! Take your frustration out on today's boo boy who had nothing to do with reason we lost.

Before the Millwall game you were slagging Shipley saying we’d lose and even after the goal and a good performance saying he should be taken off before half time

Get your facts right. Never said take him off BEFORE half time what stupidity you make up.

Think baka shouldn't get near the 1st team again stick max up front unless we find another striker.
Baka he' never seems to get on the end of anything in the box. Maybe off the bench kastaneer through the middle replacing max from the bench. Back to baka get rid save the boys wages.

To be honest I'm the first to defend players and have a go at people for constantly slagging them down but I think on this occasion it's just concern that we're one injury away from Baka having to start games and that would be a real problem in my opinion.

No offence to the lad but the championship is clearly a step too far.

Strange, He's 25 years old, 6'4", quick, athletic. in theory he has all the attributes needed but something is missing.
Personally I don't blame MR for giving him a chance in spite of the stats, and the warnings we got from Walsall supporters.
Clearly it hasn't worked though.

Robbings said when we signed him

"We needed more at the top end of the pitch and Adamou gives us that, and I’m sure he will become a fans’ favourite."

Oh well.

I can't work out whether the thread title is a question or a statement of exasperation or both, Baka's highlight of the season so far came the other week with his kung fu challenge. He has all the attributes but no instinct, happy to drift through games without affecting the outcome.

Maybe he's aware that he's only here because we can't afford or find anyone else and he knows if we stay up there's no chance of him getting a contract. Even if we go down I wouldn't want him to be honest

How many times does it need saying that it isn’t as simple as ‘get rid, use the wages elsewhere’’? Getting rid requires either a team that wants him and are prepared to take over his existing contract, or paying off his contract. First one won’t happen, second one leaves us in the same financial position with fewer players. What would be the point?

Not that it means much but a lad I work with went to school with him, he knew he was at Walsall but was shocked we signed him and was amazed he actually made it pro.
