Wilson 7 not a lot to do
Dabo 8 back to his best
Ostigard 7
Mcfadzean 9
Hyam 5 needs a rest next week
McCallum 7
Sheaf 8 loads better W playing with hamer as a defense two rather than by himself as enabled him to go forward with the ball at times
Hamer 9 quality
Ohare 8 outstanding work rate but had to score
Shipley 8 unlucky not to bag 2 goals. Needs to assess his life and decide how far in the game he wants to go, and cut out the booze and improve fitness
Godden 5 should have gone off earlier

Biamou 6
Giles 5 looked a bit lost

Must have been watching a different game to everyone else. O’Hare drawn a few fouls and played a nice ball into Shipley for our opener. What else did he do?

Where has this rumour RE Shipperz boozing his fitness away come from?

🤣

The Millwall commentators also gave him MOM and eulogised his performance for 90 mins.

Wilson 6 - Didn’t have to do much. No chance for the pen.
Dabo 7 - Best showing from him for a while. Always get the feeling his legs are ahead of his head though.
Ostigard 6 - Solid.
Mcfadzean 6 - Solid.
Hyam 5 - No idea what he’s thinking for the pen. Just block it.
McCallum 6 - Drawn a few fouls.
Sheaf 7 - Solid today.
Hamer 8 - Oozes class.
Ohare 6 - Nice ball to Shipley but apart from that much of the same. Clueless in front and around goal.
Shipley 8 - Silenced everyone (myself included) today with a great performance. Baffles me people saying O’Hare MOTM. For me it’s Shipley
Godden 4 - Garbage. Hopefully he’s out for a while. We play better when he’s not in the pitch.

Biamou 6 - I’d take him over Godden any day off he week.
Giles 4 - So bad.

Wow. He was everywhere today.

I’ve knocked Sheaf previously but he’s been a lot better recently, had a good game again today.
He’s everywhere every match. That’s what he does. Runs around like a headless chicken. What did he actually do apart from the ball to Shipley and fucking up a gift of a chance from their defence?

Absolutely no idea what you were watching because he did a lot. Both good and bad. Noticeably, played a great ball to Shipley in build up to opening goal, played ball to Biamou when he took an age to get a shot away when through. Also made countless bad decisions in the final third, missed a 1 on 1. He was involved in near enough everything. Played very, very well at times and also unbelievably frustrating, but overall a very good performance

Wilson - 7.5 - one roll out that put Hyam in trouble aside , did what he had to do well
Dabo - 9 has one weakness, he’s not great in the air, that aside I can’t remember us having a better rb/rwb?
Ostigard - 9 lock him in the training ground and get him on a pre contract for the next 4 years
Fadz - 9 - class MOTM
Hyam - 6 lost his man and stupid pen to give away , solid at everything else
McCallum - 7.5 lost his man once at the end but otherwise decent game
Sheaf - 8 sign him now, get him a years experience in this league and next season he is going to be one of our best players
Hamer - 9 will just enjoy him while he’s here - too good for us
Shipley - 6.5 you know it’s a good day when he doesn’t look out of place
O’Hare - 8 would of been 9 but that chance at the end HAS to go in, otherwise he was a pain the arse all afternoon
Biamou - 7.5 Such an unselfish performance , has his limitation admittly, but held it up quite well and bought others into play.

Giles - 7.5 without their keeper he’d of had 2 today

Very different players but Roland Nilsson was better than Dabo, can’t think of anyone since then though.

Ben Wilson on his podcast mentioned Shipley liking a beer.

People might be putting 2+2 together and getting 5 or they might be getting 4.

He’s bulked out, struggles to play after 65 mins and isn’t as quick as he was (plus Wilson making comments) is one side, or it might be bollox.

Bottom line is that he’s a skilful player with a gifted left foot. If he can get fitter he can go a long way.

Nilsson was on another level, a true legend of the game. But the full back role has evolved a lot since he retired, and Dabo fills it as well as anyone else in the division. He’s a joy to watch. Hard to compare the two tbh.

to this day I'm amazed how Nilsson never played for a really big club.

Wilson - 7 - couple of routine saves, brilliant time wasting.

Dabo - 9 - brilliant game.

Ostigard - 8 - big headers, great block at the end.

McFadz - 8.5 - our most skillful defender.

Hyam - 6 - awful decision making giving away the penalty.

McCallum - 7 - not as good going forward on our left at the moment. Got bailed out by Ostigard after losing Zohore.

Sheaf - 9 - great game, some lovely skills too, conducted things today minus gifting the opposition anything.

Hamer - 8.5 - great game, it's mad he's scored so many goals for us given his position; the lad can shoot. Incredible work ethic defensively at the end closing down one player, then sprinting past Giles to do his job for him too.

Shipley - 7.5 - good game. His influence on the ball isn't always great. But he is like playing with two strikers because he is desperate to score. Created space for us. Bet he wishes football matches lasted 60 minutes.

O'Hare - 8.5 - His energy closing down is second to none. Only him and Hamer seem to be able to close down the opposition quickly in the closing minutes. Should have scored. Should have got a few final balls right, but everything was going through him today.

Godden - 6 - Not really on the pitch long enough, probably would have scored today too.

Biamou - 7 - Some great defensive play at the end when we needed him the most. Anonymous for a lot of the game, felt he took too long to get his shot away for that chance from O Hares pass.

Giles - 6 - Decent attempt on goal and caused a bit of chaos running at their full back. At the end he didn't seem as keen on grafting / closing down as some of the others.

Millwall - 0 - Racist fans, awful team, awful style of play.

Ref - 6 - Wheres our pen ref? Millwall could and should have picked up a couple of extra yellow cards for cynical fouls in the final 3rd when we were counter attacking.
Hamer - 8.5 - great game, it's mad he's scored so many goals for us given his position; the lad can shoot. Incredible work ethic defensively at the end closing down one player, then sprinting past Giles to do his job for him too.

The guy is phenomenal, his energy and commitment even after 90 mins looked as fresh as a daisy. Yeah ridiculous how Giles just stood and watched as Hamer flew past him to close down as he realised Giles is gonna do FA.

Premier league quality. he gets his defenders and midfielders out of so many tricky situations, infact turns those tricky situations into a defining attacking pass. What a player. Watching him operate everywhere is crazy.

Right ive climaxed.

there was a lot more but getting them reduced to ten men as they were starting to dominate was a highlight.

O Hare was better today and easily is more likely a prospect to be in the premier league

Hamer will never be signed for the top flight - I can’t see promotion challengers even looking at him as a serious acquisition

The midfielders were all excellent and another day could‘ve bagged four between them.
Strangely both our goals came from their centre half, the second off his arse. Funny game

I think Hamer could make it to the EPL.
He's young, got natural ability, lacks discipline but it's easier to add discipline than ability.

LOL. your entitled to your opinion. another one for future reference.

Did you not say the same about Maddison when he was at Norwich in championship.? im sure i have it in the MAddison Sell on clause thread

but i do agree, Ohare being a year or so younger i think has something different for sure, and is a real talent.

But Hamer already is the real deal in the Championship and i wouldnt swap him for anyone in this division.

For me Hamer is easily as good as anything in comparable position in this league.

Lets see. time will tell.

I think we are blessed to have a couple/few who could potentially have a go at that level. COH, Hamer and Sheaf of the owned players (I include Sheaf given the option to buy) and possibly Dabs, albeit he may be at his peak now.

Sam and Giles also have a chance. All need to improve obviously but have the raw talent IMO.

With all respect, that’s an odd point of view, Hamer is 23, played half a season in the championship for a relatively poor side and been a stand out player. Scores and assists, he’s aggressive, dynamic, versatile, clever. He’s too good for this level and I don’t know how you can’t see that.

It's obviously pantomime season. Good one Grendel - funniest thing you have ever written!

I do not believe for one second that you are being serious - no one is that clueless surely....!

How did the clubs best athlete do today?

you should also get onto Oggy and the Millwall commentators who rated him as superb

Just no.

O’Hare has already been a Premier League prospect and got released. He has plenty of talent and an incredible engine, but he has very little experience and he’s a long way off being useful to any Premier League team, which is why a then-struggling Villa side already decided to get rid. I hope he proves them wrong, but it won’t be before Hamer makes the step up.

A player who's scored 4 goals already, in less appearances than COH, in a less advanced position?

They're both great players and both were good today. I wouldn't rule either one of them out of anything, because they both seem to have the right attitude.

Max was decent and did his job. It's absolute no surprise to anyone on here that you are unable to realise the role that players have and the contribution they make to the team.

I've always said that you have highly decent trivia knowledge of the team and you know far more about the financials of the club than I ever will but in terms of seeing a game that's in front of you - it's been evident for years that you've never played and have no idea. You do a brilliant job week in/week out of showing your complete cluelessness - but again I admire you for keeping going and giving opinions - honestly kudos for the best laughs of the week!

Says the bloke who says Biamou is the best athlete at the club. Jockey Wilson could beat him in a 50 yard dash
