there is a real gulf in quality between the leagues over a whole season, the following would easily score regularly:

Baker (proven in L1)
R.O.D (proven in L1)
Eastwood (proven in L1)
McSheffrey (proven at an even higher level)
Deegan (3 goals already this seaon at a higher level, not many starts either)

My view is that, if we do get taken over by new owners after our inevitable relegation, we wouldn't have to actually bring in that mant new players.

Eastwood off thats a deffo.

Cody McDonald i think will hold his own though.

We will have the best starting 11 in the league but will the squad be bigger enough?

By the looks of it we could also have SISU

We have no idea who or how many players we will have. Nothing is definite what division we will be in either. We could get the points to get safe. Portsmouth could lose points and players. Forest can't even score as many goals as us. We are not the only team struggling.

As long as Fat Freddie is not with us next season we should have a full squad that wants what is best for our club.

Come on fella, i know you’re a glass full optimist but after the fuck up from the team in the past week, relegation is an absolute cert.

If you still think will stay up then part with some cash because in May you would reap the rewards if you feel that strongly.

we have players that can do well in league one(even a pessemist must admit we compete in nearly every championship match which bodes well for lesser opposition)

mcsheffrey, macdonald, platt should all do well in L1,maybe o donovan can finnally come good too

baker, bell, deegan, thomas, brigi should have no problems either, howerver without work ethic are skills enough? there is no movement in our midfield and they may get over run by L1 hard working midfields

defence - lets think worst and keough, cranie go,well have hussey, christie, cameron, wood as our back 4 with back up in clarke and probably a replacement for wantway mcpake-i think we may need to improve here, sometimes wood doesnt look worthy of sunday league outfit,if we keep keough we should do just fine

GK-murphy needs to be more conssitent but will do the job

so yeh you have to hope we will compete but who knows how good other sleeping giants like sheff wed/utd will be,and huddersfield,MK dons are on fire too,we cant take anything for granted

You can't make the assumption the owners will keep everyone or everyone will want to stay, there will be close season twists and turns.

I'd be pretty confident there will be a number of moves in & out.

we have 5 proven goalscorers for Leaue one, because Deegan has scored 3 this season already ?

did make me laugh that...

Deegan's scored 3 in how many championship starts this season?!

If he stayed/got fit and played a whole season in League One, I could see him chipping in with 7-8 easily!

yeh everything points towards deegan being able to score goals in L1

but as someone above mentioned it depends how many we keep, sisu may well be happy to weaken the team and be a lower mid table L1 team for the next 10 years, they dont like speculating to accumulate

Deegan and Thomas in centre mid next year would be useful..Neither on much of a wage, and Thomas wants to play for Cov, so unless we get a offer for them, they might still be around.

------------Platt-------McDonald----------

McSheff---Deegan-----Thomas------Bell

Hussey---Herman----Cameron--Christie

----------------Murphy---------------------

cant see Keogh sticking around, and if rumours of 8k a week wages are to be believed, Wood will be off as well.

Its such a shame.

I never expected to keep Cranie or Keogh.

I fully expected to keep Platt unless it was our decision not to keep him.

I thought we would fight tooth and nail to keep Mcpake and Wood with the departures of Keogh and Cranie.

I never for the life of me thought there was a chance of losing Bigi and Willis.

Seriously just the wages of 5 experienced league one players, including one that would have hit the net like that Collins. I think it was a golden opportunity for us fans to finally experience success.

I imagine as well if the club had made those signings, season tickect sales would have hit 8-10 k as a feel good factor would have swept through the city.

Instead they are doing this, and creating uncertainty
