Now that I look closely I see the Torygraph article only mentions Ake not having a relegation clause, so maybe Wilson does.

He’s most likely going to have a relegation clause in his contract - I would imagine he’ll be one of the high earners they look to keep on it they can do to get back up first time.
Yeah and Maxim isnt shy of investment targeting achievement. Ran a very similar investment and business model during their football league climb as SISU have over the last couple of years

It'd have to be like a 40-50% pay cut to make him even remotely affordable & I can't see his agent would have agreed to that.

I think there will be a lot of clubs interested in him which will push his price up. If Ezre is going for 20mil Wilson will go for at least that.

Have seen on fb that West Ham have expressed an interest but that could be as reliable as Anne Lucas - the more the merrier

West Ham have joined Newcastle in considering a bid for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, while both clubs are among a quartet of sides keen on signing his team-mate David Brooks.

Tottenham are also interested in signing 28-year-old England international Wilson, while Crystal Palace and Leicester are keen on Wales winger Brooks.

The Cherries are expected to seek a fee in excess of £20m to sell Wilson after their five-year spell in the Premier League came to an end on Sunday.

They’ve just accepted a bid from Man City for Ake

Oli McBurnie went for £20m last summer. Bournemouth will almost certainly get £20m+ for Wilson. He’s got England caps and all.

I think Crystal Palace will sell Zaha and buy Wilson.

I am not sure Wilson will go. Getting older. Injury prone. Maybe return to championship is his level?

Thinking as a prem club owner here. Thinking of his options. A West Brom or Leeds may make good use of him tbh

I hope he goes. Even of its only.10m

As long as they sell him and we get some £££ its all good.

Im guessing someone will be willing to pay £20m+ easily. He's only 28 so should still have a good few years left.

Shame he didn’t go last year when his stock was at its highest. Now after dropping down a league, added to list of injury problems he’s probably available at half the price, maybe even less.

Whatever sell on fee we eventually end up getting for him will no doubt go towards plugging the gaps for loss of revenue being in Brum, coupled with the effect of COVID unfortunately, not that the club can be blamed for that. In different circumstances, That money could’ve been the difference in us perhaps fighting relegation and stabilizing ourselves in the Championship.

Bournemouth's relegation and his injury issues do lessen his value.

However, you can argue that if he goes to a club with a few options in their front line his requirement to play every game and increase risk of injury is lessened? Could £20M be seen as a calculated risk to help a bottom half-mid range team consolidate themselves for another year in the PL?

If nothing else, Wilson provides a threat with his pace. If you're a team expecting to be featuring in the lower half of the table and realistically aspiring to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle you're going to be fairly reliant on counter attacking football. For a team like Spurs who have been linked he represents a player that can be used to play alongside Kane if 2 up top is seen as a better option for whatever reason Mourinho feels is right.

Apparently the Daily Telegraph have a piece about Callum wanting to leave Bournemouth to maintain his England hopes...sadly it's behind a paywall

He won’t be on his own at Bournemouth wage wise think they have just sold a player for big bucks to Man City or are about to. I see a few players going out and a big rebuild there.

Wilson has told teammates that he needs to stay in the Premiership. So only a matter of time this summer where he goes. Any sell on fee we get will subsidise playing at St Andrews.

Spurs apparently are willing to offer 10m for him. That seams very low. Im sure some of the others would be offering more than that

He’s on about 80 grand a week isn’t he?

80+ I'm sure I saw something say he was on 110k.

rumours is he has told team mates he wants to leave. So we might finally see some money for him

Which will lower the fee as he will want more and Bournemouth are going to want to off load

True. But if you look at some of the crazy money players are on all over the prem. Im sure Bournemouth are going to want as much as possible. If 3 teams so far are interested at 10m+ a few more might take a punt.
