She’s starting to annoy me. Not the unjust part of it, it probably is. But the way she’s continuously doing it, as if members of the public have any say and want to hear her moaning about it.

If they played it and went down im sure they would then moan it was unfair to play...

In all seriousness, I feel for some of these clubs, Tranmere and genuine Peterborough fans especially (not MacAnthony with his childish rants), I would be gutted in the same situation. I also feel for those clubs chasing automatics, however, no one is yet to offer a more viable alternative to how it can be fixed and for me this is the key factor. Playing on would obviously be ideal but almost definitely feels unattainable. Clubs simply cannot afford to do it, so there has to be another solution. No one could argue it was more fair to relegate AFC Wimbledon than Tranmere in the current circumstance. We are essentially left with a situation that calls for the 'least unfair' scenario. I understand clubs calling it unfair, and being devastated, because let's not pretend we would be happy about it, but it's more unlucky than it is unfair. What isn't luck is that we are top of the table and unbeaten since December, and we've fully earned the position we are in. It isn't quite so clear cut in other situations. I would imagine if we were all to bet on who would finish higher out of Wycombe and Peterborough we would mostly go Peterborough, but given the timing, Wycombe seem to have got the rub of the green and that can't be easy for those clubs to take on the other side of that.

I'm tempted to reply and say that ....if they'd played their "joker" on the game against us at St Andrews [it's a knock out style] they'd have got double points and would be staying up!
However, the bickering and posturing that is going on is ridiculous. There needs to be a resolution and if the season is fully played out a number of communities will no longer have a football club to support. Finally, Tranmere were rubbish pretty much all of the season and that's why their down the bottom !

Taking a step back and looking at the Peterborough situation I can feel for them a bit, Wycombe’s game in hand which has stuffed Peterborough was us away and on form were likely to lose, think I’d be miffed to be honest.
Let’s be honest it’s their fans that will be suffering not that blarney of a chairman sitting in sunny Florida.

So many teams have games cancelled due to cups, internationals etc. Clutching at straws at best with that argument.

Weighted PPG is rightly off the table as a terrible alternative to PPG - you only have to look at West Ham & Bournemouth to see why that is the case.

clutching at straws? Wycombe stand to benefit massively from not having played a game away to the team with the best home record in the EFL and against whom they’ve never won in the league.

You can't start predicting things - anything can happen. PPG is a matter of fact.

The only thing you could do to remove PPG is roll-back games until all teams have played the same number of games (34). Either way that leaves Wycombe rightly in the playoffs.

We don't have the best home record, or even the second best for that matter... yes pedantic, sorry!

Lets just get the pools panel out to predict the results of all the remaining games then - that would be even fairer (unless they put us 3rd...)

Who is predicting ?

from a purely practical point of view PL clubs have had their players in individually for a week or so and small group training started 2 days ago. Many PL clubs saying they need 4-5 week to be ready (player fitness, safety etc.) and want a start date of June 26th to get their 9 games in. (saying june 12th too early)
League 1 probably couldn't begin for another week basic training so if player welfare standards are the same you'd be looking 1st week in July for a start. And you've got to get these 9/10 games plus play-offs into a month if the cut-off is July 31st !!

Not one to Stoke this particular rivalry - but “small time?”

considering they’re the ones with the hatred towards us, and they had a 100 page thread about how we were going bust and the shit they gave when getting relegated to league 2?

She claims they want to play the games so they have the chance to stay up. When the regulations proposed today allow for that:
Resuming the 2019/20 season with the existing format remains the most appropriate course of action from a sporting integrity perspective, but the Board accepts there are circumstances that may lead to curtailment (as has been demonstrated with League Two) or a situation subsequently transpires whereby the season is unable to conclude.
Wouldn't her time be better spent proposing a way fixtures can be completed that is both practical and financially viable? Put that forward and I'm sure they'll get a lot more support.

First thing the poster does is create a thread about trawling through another teams forum complaining about others being obsessed. Oh the irony.

Well he's not wrong and you are proving him right by being on their forum so you've just 1 nilled yourself. And they are just as bad.

So 1-1. And now I'm talking about them. 2-1

Tranmere have always been rubbish. I think they went to division 2 in the 1970’s and have been useless since.

Why the shade towards Tranmere?
They got to the league cup final and were nearly promoted in 99 I think it was. They were non league and have done very well in pulling themselves out of their spiral and deserve every credit. Damn fine owners as well. A good model for us to follow.

One thing that I've learned from all this nonsense is having a board member of your club on twitter is not a good thing.
Fans going mental on social media is one things but you'd expect owners and board members to try and maintain a slight appearance of professionalism.
