Ticketmaster Refunds (1 Viewer)

Has anyone had their refunds yet from the Acc Stanley game? Last I hear was on May 1st where they said we`d have it in around 5 days. Cheers

Iv seen a few times the club have tweeted that Ticketmaster have processed the refunds. My guess is there is a major delay due to the volume of refunds ticketmaster is currently processing

They said the other day it will be this week now (revised from last week).
I'm sure we'll see the money soon.

There is. Ticketmaster have to process each refund individually and they currently have $3billion worth of tickets for cancelled / postponed events to work through.

They normally say up to 7 days to process refunds but it’s currently up to 28 days.

I also haven't and have been following what is said on Twitter. For what it's worth, (and I hope I am wrong) I was told I would be refunded for Hamilton the Musical tickets about 5 weeks ago from Ticket Master and it's yet to touch my account. I imagine the club are being updated by Ticketmaster, but expect that date to keep getting pushed further and further back, and it won't be the clubs fault.

They've just tweeted saying they should be processed and in our account. It's definitely not in mine. I asked the club and they responded telling me to speak to my bank. I have a feeling this may drag on as I can't imagine it being a bank issue considering amount of people I have seen mention it.

The contact your bank thing is a nonsense.

I contacted the ticketmaster email as I’ve switched bank accounts since and they’ve told me that the refunds won’t be processed until people are back in their offices...

Any idea if these are being refunded? Thanks in advance

I haven’t had my refund yet. I just keep checking Twitter and club says they are speaking to Ticketmaster and the refunds are due anytime now.

Cheers. So Ticketmaster will automatically issue it, I don't need to apply?

Ticketmaster have confirmed that refunds for Lincoln/Accrington have been processed and money should be with fans very shortly.

If not received double check with your bank - if you have any issues, email [email protected] who can check your ticket account #PUSB

Been in touch with my bank who said they would never hold anything up. Ticketmaster are lying bastards, and it is making the club look stupid and shit over this whole thing

Yep, same here. Today I got 'Ticketmaster have definitely processed the payment, get in touch with your bank again and then let us know if you haven't received anything by Friday.' Why would it take until Friday if it's already been processed? Dickheads.

so the issue is with every bank and building society but not with Ticketmaster?!!
That's the frustration. Clearly there is bullshit along the line somewhere, I just hope CCFC are not in on it with Ticketmaster. I tagged my bank in on my tweet to CCFC and they plainly said they would never hold up the credit on the account so it is with ticketmaster to sort out.

Its to do with how card payments actually work. When you make the payment although to you it seems instant all that has happened is a payment has been pre-authorised and therefore the bank has removed that amount from your balance. The actual payment to the merchant from the bank is often days later following consolidation.

The same applies in reverse. Its not like someone making a payment directly into your account, it is the payment process being undone so TM processing the reversal on their end is only the first stage of the process. Its then down to the banking system and even with normal levels of refunds taking place they say allow 8-15 days for the refund to actually appear in your account.

Yeah, appreciate the explanation and without wanting to sound condescending I fully get how the banking system works I studied Economics at university and have Finance qualifications, I know you were trying to help, it's the fact they have said they were processed about 10 days ago and club followed it up with:
"The 5 working days from 1st would take it to yesterday (due to Bank Holiday)" - this was yesterday so is now 2 days late. My bank would unquestionably know about it, if it was processed when they've said it was. As mentioned in a message earlier in this thread TicketMaster are now over a month late in refunding my theatre tickets. They are being deliberately deceitful, whether they have cashflow problems, I don't know. But the club are gonna take some stick for an error which probably isn't their fault.

It's becoming quite frustrating. I'm owed £450 for the two games, much of that isn't mine as I bought for a large group and I'm having my ear chewed off because they think I'm lying and holding on to their money. TM have basically lied. It wasn't processed on the day they said, so just be honest and give a realistic timescale instead of stitching up the poor ccfc twitter admin.

I think you've probably answered your concerns to why it's taking so long. I can't see how it could be any other reason.

Update: they’re sorry I haven’t received my refund (of course they are). Needs investigating with finance team so please allow up to a week. Absolute bollocks.

I've had the same, really disappointed that the club haven't stood in our corner a bit more on this one. Feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

How on earth can the Club do anything ?
This is all ticketmaster hanging on to the money.

According to the football club all refunds have been processed sweetheart. Except they clearly fucking haven't as no one has got the money, yet the club keep pushing out the ticketmaster bullshit.
To be fair, if a third party at my business had told me they have actioned something, we would pass that on to the client. So in the first instance, I don't blame them at all. However, when so many people came back and said they hadn't had the refunds, they should have been quicker to point the finger or highlight it to TicketMaster

Hello Nick,

Thank you for your email.

We're sorry to hear you have still not received your refund. At this stage we will need to investigate further with our Finance Department.

We will forward the details of your transaction to them and await a response, which can take up to a week.

We will contact you again as soon as we have further information. Thank you for your patience at this time

Best wishes

Jon

Copy and paste it seems.

Not sure why it takes a week for finance to look into it.

When no one has had anything I'd expect the club to be issuing a message to the fans of leave it with us, then Dave Boddy should be sorting ticketmaster out. Now hundreds if not thousands of fans are going to have to spend time chasing something we were told was going to be done automatically

Haven't they said they are also chasing ticket master?
