Yes, but what about the bit where he says they are OK now? Is he sucking off Tim Fisher, or who?!?:thinking about:

I did chuckle at that quote. :D Sums it up and flies in the face of someone on here that said Higgs Trust thought SISU were the best owners in 20 years that they've ever dealt with. :D

Well he does say that too.

"And I think the people they have got now are the most sensible people I've seen at the football club in the last 20 years."

Let's hope they really have changed for the better. Couldn't get any worse could it!!

Interesting, due diligence is what is done by the prospective purchasers of a business that they have agreed, in principal, to buy.

This would imply that the parties have agreed the deal, and SiSu are now looking at the accounts for ACL.

Thirty days also puts us beyond the may 31st deadline for filing accounts within the FL rules. Not sure where that leaves us, although I guess that they would claim mitigating circumstances and apply for an extension before any additional punishment.

That would leave us less time for putting a squad together, the extent of which will depend on players lost before hand.

I suppose that a reduction in rent, coupled with increased revenue streams, will also give the club greater scope to purchase better players. Whether they take advantage of that or not, remains to be seen.

Not holding my breath.

Just wondering if this new move to buy half the arena ties in with Sisu's investors wanting to see some return for their money.

If so, obviously any money made would only be going one place.

If so, how come we can't even offer Cranie a contract due to our "New drastically reduced budget". That rather implies that any chance we have of signing players is in no way enhanced by them getting what they want. Why would it? This is SISU, remember: it's all about what they can weasel for themselves and their investors, not about success on the football pitch.

Although he does say something in the last paragraph suggesting he wants to sell to sisu.

I wonder if they have just had enough. He say the current lot are the best yet so he can do the deal and be done with it.

Who is funding the purchase of half the stadium. Where has this money been when it came to keeping juke last season for 4 months?

And where does the guy resigning the other day fit into this Good News?

Purchase of a tangible assets is more likely to be backed by investors, than that of purchasing subjectively valued assets such as players. I guess that's why?

Huntsman industrial materials, the wife of the man at the top is the one who's bailed us out this season .

exactly how i read it, i'm not a fan of SISU by any means, but extra revenue should mean a positive recruitment of playing staff which can only be a good thing.

You bet your arse if they do sell to Sisu then it won't be for the good of CCFC. There's lots of other big money ventures they can get their teeth into for the good of themselves.at the Ricoh, it won't mean investment in players and a strong squad that's for damn sure !
They have loosely threatened to liquidate so that they get their own way with the Ricoh. No wonder they make any dialogues with Hoffman impossible as it scuppers their game plan. Cunning eh !
I would almost rather the club went down the pan than be at the mercy of those bastards.

It does'nt mean they will generate any income from taking the stake, but on paper the clubs turnover should look healthier

This would be the first time in years CCFC have a tangible asset.

It also means it is easier to gain new investors....

Very interesting to see how this pans out now.

Also... with the Ricoh share... there would be more interest in a buyout from other groups.

It opens up plenty of avenues that cannot be denied.

well done to sisu. and well done to Higgs for getting the ball rolling on this. personally i think the stadium has been the problem all along, and the reason sisu have not heavily invested .. why would they, would you?

Despite this bloke's unspoken (but obvious) opinion of Sisu's management up to now, it sounds like a deal with Sisu could be on the cards. I think that this would be a disaster for CCFC.

Well done Sisu? For doing something they said they were going to do 5 years ago?

Guess if I am down for an operation on the NHS and i finally get the appointment after 12 months I should thank them for finally giving me the appointment!!:facepalm:

We don't know details yet. My interpretation, of the scant info that is publicly available, is that they buy the Higgs' share in ACL. This is not the same as buying a share of the stadium, as a physical entity? Maybe OSB can comment, as he has a good grasp of the financial mechanics.

Sisu do not care about the club if they did and had the long term plan this is what they should of been putting this deal in place from day 1. They only realized last year the only way they can get any money back is to buy the share in the stadium. And if they get this forget about team investment or trying to compete, it will be run for them to suck every possible penny out and let us slip away on the pitch...

I am worried about these lying bastards getting any more of a foothold in the club , i really want them out ..

What I'm thinking is SISU have been playing hardball in selling the club. They wouldn't accept GH's £1 bid and I'm assuming GH wouldn't pay any more. I'm also thinking SISU want out. So do you think that maybe a deal has been done in that if SISU got half of the RICOH shares on an agreement that they then sell to GH. SISU get their "30m" that they've invested or whatever etc and the club gets new owners on a good solid footing to start a fesh. Everyone's a winner? My two penneth. Thoughts.

I hope this is the real outcome, as dont see SISU being any good for our club now or in the future

mutton has already said the council will not allow the stadium to be used as collateral to borrow against. if you want a real conspiracy theory though how about "SISU got us relegated on purpose to drive the cost of buying the stadium down"

I am glad you raised that as i was told and i believe who told me that a group of local business men offered to completely fund a couple of loans around early March time, this was turned down by our owners and just after low and behold we have a transfer embargo on us
