Is that just for this period though? Didn’t City say the three weeks alone would cost £400k? You could be taking about £100m+ all in. Peanuts compared to some of the sums thrown around. Obviously Championship teams will be a lot more expensive. Call it £250m? Worth it from government to save lower league football IMO.

Boddy said £400k for the three cancelled games I’m sure. So if the season doesn’t finish that’s got to push £1m just for a L1 side. Championship wages could be ten times that. Thinking about it you’re probably looking at £250m for the Championship alone. Hopefully more of them can make it through without support.

5k supporters at £20 is 100k x3 is £300k. Since many of those will be oap or kids its much less. Bit of F&B profit but not a lot after overheads imagine 10k match tops. Real estimatr more like 200k imo which will be covered.

Premier league is having a conference call with all teams today to discuss how they can complete the season, with this being the case i guess all the EFL teams will be having this too so thats deffo good news

Can't see them opening the transfer window until the season is completed as some would just go out and spend a lot money knowing they're so near. I therefore guess there'll be special dispensation to extend contracts by 1-3 months, if agreed by both parties.

Can see teams who are mid-table and not in danger of going up or down not taking it very seriously. Will be like a pre-season for them.

I suspect the players we want to keep will be offered extensions and the others will be allowed to run down
Pretty ruthless but it happens at the end of June every year
