Totally disagree, and I’m not being political, which is why yesterday he was like a rabbit caught in the headlights at his conference, suddenly throwing money galore at this virus the Government goofed big time with their stupid herd ideas, schools should have been closed two weeks ago and movement restrictions implemented, kids are the biggest carriers leaving this virus all over the place, there are people of all age groups now going down with this, my friends nephew aged 41, no underlying issues is very ill with it.
Things are coming to light all the time, there is now a thought that certain blood groups are more likely to get a more complicated version.
Back to Boris/Tories their dithering will be costly and will follow them for a long time.

My missus sent me that Daily Mail article about the blood groups, the study looked pretty inconclusive to me

Apart from they didn't waste days on theories that were impossible to follow through on.

Days we actually bought with our tracing and tracking policy and encouraging people to call 111 and self isolate

I’m not going into it all again but as per the ICL report, this is now an 12-18 month issue which is going to lead to major disruption/human cost (which the government and their advisors were obviously desperately trying to avoid).

I’ll make my judgements when the dust has settled....which will be quite a while yet.

I don't know what its like for others, but I'm finding it impossible to even keep up. Can't get hold of people as they're dropping out en masse to self isolate, so can't get info from them which is needed, running projections on what happens if a facility is closed for 3 months which is hugely complex, everyone in mild panic or depressed and a lot of those working from home don't have wifi fast enough to run their systems, or they didn't realise they needed VPN to run them, not just "the internet". Its chaos.

I'm not going to go into the rights & wrongs of that, but speaking from experience when you throw kids off school into the equation its a bloody nightmare.

We've got 20km tailbacks at the 2 main road crossings from West & Northern Europe.
Lorries with medicine and food (and toilet paper) been stuck for over 24 hours since borders were locked down.
Hungarian workers trying to return home.a lot of Romanians and Bulgarians trying to transit through even borders are closed - so they are blocking the roads out in protest.

Yeah, I have a Romanian friend. She lives here, but went to visit home and now she says all the borders are shut and she can't get back.

Now, surprisingly enough, it is and people expect their entire company to be setup for remote working instantly as if its just flicking a switch. Of course they don't even consider anyone else might be doing the same so constantly chase as its 'urgent'.

The response from our managers, no concern about workload / pressure / if anyone might actually have the virus, instead we got told to work harder and be available, unpaid, evenings and weekends.

I work in IT support covering companies who have outsourced their support.

Could even begin to count the number of conversations I've had with clients over the last few years about setting people up to work remotely but most managers think working remotely equals not doing anything. Strangely enough though its always OK for the managers to work from home so maybe their basing that on how little work they do.

Now its a mad panic and everyone thinks their need is greater than anyone else - to be fair that's pretty standard all the time.

Sky have sent home 50% their call centres so that everyone has more space between them, my wifi went down and I was told that the wait time to speak to anyone would be "over 2 hours".
