If any of this is true, it's not FDKG that would be the owners, their Director is working with the Hoff to help establish links with wealthy Chinese businessmen. This is taken from the BBC - Former Coventry vice-chairman Gary Hoffman has been working with Ken Grant, who is an independent consultant in Asia.
Any deal would involve taking up 100% ownership of the club, as well as half ownership of the Ricoh Arena.
But they are understood not to want to work with current owners Sisu Capital.
Although Sisu are keen to find investors, the Chinese group are only interested in sole ownership.
Hoffman had feared that relegation might put off potential buyers, but there is still interest.
Grant is a director of FDKG Ltd - a company that advises top end brands and businesses on moving into the Chinese luxury market.

Just heard this afternoon, that the people that hoffman is bringing in is RICOH, yes the stadium sponsor !!
This looks very fishy to me, you're right. But what could it mean, unless Sisu are somehow involved with the new guys... but that wouldn't make sense would it?

The SECOND address, is the strange one. You see the offices above the hairdressers, that is apparently SISU's offices, or one of them anyway.

It could be that all of this is all just to throw us off the scent, get our hopes up etc. That just seems too weird. Never really liked Hoffman anyway, he has had plenty of chances but always seems to fall at the last and it starts all over again.

Hi Clemy :wave: Yes I realise FDKG isnt going to be the investor in CCFC. The CT implied there was great substance to them and Mr Grant, just doesnt seem to be that much, from the information i can find. If he can arrange the deal then well done him. I am just wary of folk making claims that dont quite stack up at face value. As said before not doing him or GH down but wont believe it unless it happens. Some on here seem to think it is all but done - i really don't think thats the case
I think we all hope more than we believe it at the minute, but with the last 18 months we have had any positive news will be greeted with abit of overeaction. But in all that we have all heard for a few months now about potential investors/owners so this time it maybe more than cov tel trying to sell papers..

Agree. From what I've read they are "deciding where to invest their money for this year". Hardly sounds a done deal.

Exactly yet Hoffman has been saying for the last 9 months he has investors ready to take over and SISU were the hold up?
Don't get me wrong I want the deal done but both sides have spouted equal amounts of shit in this whole saga.

I think FDKG are just trying to get one up with their neighbours. If it comes off they'll probably hang a big bloody banner out the window with 'We just bought The Ricoh' sprayed on it and throw eggs at Joy as she leaves work.

Coventry City could be looking at a 'new dawn' amid possible investment interest from Chinese businessmen.
Former Sky Blues vice-chairman Gary Hoffman, who oversaw an unsuccessful takeover bid last August, continues to be on the lookout for investors in the cash-strapped club.
Coventry are currently owned by SISU, although relegation to League One has made Hoffman's task harder.
And his attempts have now taken him to the Far East, through consultant Ken Grant who has hands-on experience of the Asian market.
Grant told the Coventry Telegraph: "I am pleased to confirm that we are actively involved in an attempt to secure new investment into Coventry City Football Club and Arena Coventry.
"If successful it is anticipated that the investors, ultra net-wealth Chinese nationals, will wish to secure 100 per cent of the football club and 50% of the Arena.
"If our determined efforts, which have been nobly supported by Gary Hoffman and Joe Elliott, conclude in success we have every reason to believe that this will represent a new dawn for the future of Coventry City Football Club."

Gary Hoffman has said very little at all since all this takeover talk began a year ago. Do you think anything would be put in a newspaper if there were no substance to it. Hoffman is a top business man experienced in dealing with people from all over the world especially China, have faith, have patience, the dark cloud over our club has one massive silver lining to it.

If it's the Croydon Telegraph then you might have a case.
I don't think Prince is telling us anything we didnt already know, Hoff's group has been sniffing around they have held talks with KD and SISU. So im not sure why any story in Tele then re wrote or confirmed by Prince makes you daft or stupid, i believe someone is interested in buying i also believe that if SISU dont get the rent reduction they will have to sell..
What i dont believe is that this will happen overnight or anything is guanteed and until the Council come out or SISU come out with statment regarding the meeting all is guess work.. But for those wanting good news it makes us smile even if a distant dream or only for a week it better than the last 18 months of bad news......
