Debate can go on about the best QB out there but can't think of many QBs I've enjoyed watching more than Mahomes (Favre close) when he's on form.
Has the talent to make off-the-cuff throws i'm not sure I've seen anyone else make.
Yep, the excellent has just become normality when watching him now. His 2nd quarter explosion last night was what I hoped/expected we'd see from Lamar on Saturday.

Mahommes vs this SF defence would be a great watch

KC could be really dominant for a long time now. Players see Mahomes' brilliance and will go there on free agency for a lower salary than they would take elsewhere with the knowledge they have every opportunity to get a ring out of it. Same as has been happening in NE for ages but without the bonus of Brady taking a lower than market salary.

So will he get the 1st 200m contract?

Think this is mahomes year but he needs more excellent seasons upon seasons to be classed aslong side favre and rodgers.

He is prob brady level tho so fairplay to him

So am i the last SBT poster with a team left in playoffs?

1 SB in 2 seasons and he's not comparable to 1 SB in 20 seasons?

LSU Clemson tonight, thoughts Tisza? There seems to be a disturbing amount of hype around LSU in the build up to this game, they are obviously very very good but I think there must be a worry they might collapse under the pressure? Clemson +5.5 with a QB who has never lost a college game on closing in on 2 years

Clemson so difficult to judge.
Can't argue they don't have a much easier route to college play-offs (played 2 ranked sides that both lost 5 games - A&M not ranked end of season) so hard to compare them that way with LSU. Nearly choked at NC.
They got past Ohio state in a game that OU could(probably should) have won.

LSU walloped Oklahoma but the others would have as well. Big 12 so poor defensively.
But both teams have had a rest. Burrow has momentum but facing the best allround defence he's seen (struggled against Auburn's).
LSU will need to make a quick start as don't tend to hold the pace so well on later stages. Tight towards the end and Clemson have the experience.
LSU defence is decent but not great. Lawrence best QB they've faced - Tua was obviously injured when they met and he ran them close.

Swinney the better coach,

Bookies never taken more money for a bowl win than they have for LSU in this game.

So the answer is ... haven't got a clue. Either side has the ability to win by a comfortable margin.
So much guesswork involved as there's nothing really to compare the 2 sides in terms of mutual opponents etc.
Alabama looked favourites last year but Clemson blew them out. This LSU at around the same level as the Alabama side but Clemson not as good as last year.

If pushed I'll take Clemson's experience and better defence.

I'd add been one of the best college seasons ever in terms of quality. More teams going to close the gap next year - nobody should write off Alabama. These college sides moving more and more towards NFL offensive structures - LSU being ahead of the curve a major reason for their success this year.

Expecting a good old fashioned college football shootout. One or two big defensive plays could make al the difference.

Always enjoy reading your thoughts, especially on college football!

I've absolutely no doubt that this will be an outstanding game - with great skill & commitment - always hard to believe these kids are between 18 and about 22 years old.
would recommend anyone who likes football watch the inevitable replays tomorrow and through the week. You'll be watching 15-20 players that will be in the NFL in the next 2 years including probably this year's and next year's number 1 picks.

Thanks for the other kind words. Just love the game, have done for along time.

I'm a 49ers fan. Got a few friends in Frisco

Think kansas will sin it although 49ers are stacked offense and defence

Green bay next mstch feels like a free hit. No pressure whatsoever. Im not even nervous like was when got to this stage before

There's no sense of injustice or what should have been this year, more a peaceful overachievement so it's nice to be able to enjoy the rest of the games now. The playoffs on a whole have been ace so far so my only wish is that the Superbowl is a big upgrade on last year's stinker. Also that Wyclef and Ja Rule make cameo appearances for the half time show

National championship was a good game. But a 3 score win at this level is huge.
Probably came down to LSU's offensive coach (Brady who's on his way to the Panthers) making the right adjustments as Clemson's defence was doing okay for a while.
Lawrence had an off-day whereas Burrow just carried on his great form.
Always felt during the game that no matter how many points Clemson scored LSU would just score more.
So onto next year and LSU have some key holes to fill, Clemson have great recruiting classes that will come through.
Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio state will all be strong.
Florida a dark horse if they can just add some offense to what was probably the best defence in college football this year. Team to make close the gap - Arizona state under Herm Edwards - been recruiting really well last 2 years and has brought in Marvin Lewis to help.

Yea, was a great watch, first half was captivating. Clemson were able to control field position but didn't really make enough of their chances to build big enough lead to cause panic in the LSU ranks.

Always felt LSU was jut caged up in the first quarter and as soon as they started getting better field position they would make it count. The Clemson ejection felt like it really took the steam out of any possible comeback

Burrows really showed up, Jefferson and Chase had the beating of their backs all night long. Be really interesting to watch Brady's offence at Carolina, that LSU offence seemed to be set up so so well

Jeffersen & Chase have been outstanding this year in yards after the catch really boosted Burrows numbers.
I didn't like the targetting call. Jeffersen was going down and twisting because of the 1st tackler taking him low.
Brady's offense at Panthers going to depend a lot on who's QBing. Also how well he integrates McCaffrey into the scheme

Which underdog do you reckon goes closest? Titans have a goo recent record vs KC and their defence so much better than the one KC ran over last week.
Titans have a good defence but it did give up 32 pts at home to the Chiefs. Has to come down to keeping Mahomes off the field and that's all about Henry - 188 yards and 2 TDs in that game.
Titans fall behind early and they'll struggle to catch up.
Other thing going to very cold at Arrowhead. Who handles the conditions?
Still see a Chiefs win.

Packers got a lot of adjustments to make from the regular season game vs 49ers.
Key is probably Packers pass protection against an aggressive 49ers rush.
Feel 49ers by a couple of scores unless Rodgers really ups his form

Someone should tell Reid that they are allowed to start playing before they concede 20 points. Looks like they might be getting going though.
