My long term prediction ? Boris to become royally unpopular in a few years time for breaking pre-election promises. He then gets into an internal leadership election where Jacob Rees-Mogg takes over.
Then God help us all.... He even looks like Heinrich Himmler if you put a moustache on him.

Don't they have to work out where they are going rather than put in another Blair or do they analyse the result and see whether the Labour domestic agenda might be worth following?

Well a new leader would be decided by a leadership contest. Ultimately the membership will have the final say.

Some of the labour people on the various election programmes tonight would be much better than Corbyn - Alan Johnson for one.

The question of tonight must be, what's going on with Huw Edwards hair?
It's immaculate isn't it? I don't think it's sewn in or borrowed from his bollocks like Andrew Neils . It's the real deal.

He's trying to pull off a far younger man's haircut.

As I voted Tory, obviously it was a Hitler youth cut. Skin fade with a comb over.

You think I'm joking, but it really shows off my meat neck :woot:
It beats a mullett though.

Simply the best and damn well interesting question I have seen/heard on any election stream this evening.

How that guy has remodelled himself has been captivating me.

Anyone watching the channel 4 ‘alternative’ coverage?

I think it’s supposed to be a light hearted parody, but not sure it’s hitting the right notes. Some of the skits have been awful.

Re the result (assuming exit polls are correct), I think a toxic combination of Brexit and Corbyn is to blame.

Labour infighting going on, I actually feel sorry for the stoke on Trent labour mp who was embarrassed and let down by Corbyn and co!

Brillopad gets it. The moving of Labour to a more remain position looks like it has cost them loads with a portion of their voting base going elsewhere.

Offering remain in a second referendum is undemocratic and it has cost them.

I think it the combination more of Brexit and Momentum - neither have gone down well with the C1/C2 class, the trad working class.

Only one party was going to benefit on referendum by proxy. And we can look forward to the biggest liar in the country implement garbage across the board.

The turkeys have voted for Christmas

Channel 4's idea of comedy has regressed into something more akin to tragedy.

Who will replace Corbyn next week? Starter, Phillips, Kendall, Benn, Cooper...or who?

Since 2017 my enthusiasm for Corbyn has dropped considerably as a Labour voter.

Corbyn is personally either very popular or unpopular with voters. With a lot of working class voters, he was despised and this is why places like Blyth, Stoke-on-Trent and Bolsover could be flipping to Conservative. Mansfield and Walsall in 2017 were warning shots and the these warnings were not heeded.

Since 2017, the Labour position on Brexit hasn’t been strong enough one way or the other. The neutral stance on a 2nd referendum was a good idea, but came completely too late.

Both Labour and Lib Dem leaderships have a lot to answer for by not collaborating. Both Corbyn and Swinson ran hopeless campaigns.

My 2 pence worth.

Has Jayne Innes ever won an election campaign outside her own council seat?
