Matt 'offside' Godden (1 Viewer)

Why on earth is MR trying to change a 28 year old proven strikers game to something it's not. He's consistently scored 15-25 for the last 4 seasons and now we're trying to turn him into something he's not. How many offsides today?

Whilst I'm at it whilst hiwula should hang his head in shame at those misses, taking him off when we are terrorising that defence rather than taking either Walsh of westbrooke off just killed us there and then.

I think he'd definitely benefit from a strike partner. We need a striker concentrating on scoring goals. Being captain didn't help him either.

He’s just having a bad run.
We dominated today, we had a young inexperienced team that passed Tranmere to death, it’s just the final third that’s let us down again.
We need to get another body pushed centrally to help Godden imho.
Or another no9 to come in in January with the Callum Wilson money.

The amount of money we've wasted on strikers the past 2 seasons is crazy, not a single one look like giving a decent return. Godden looked really good when he first signed, the lack of a strike partner and being isolated are now giving us this. Need to start shooting on sight from all over.

JCH - 150k
Baka - 500k
Hiwula - 300k
Chaplin - 500k
Godden - 750k

Especially looking at how JCH has done since he left.

I may be wrong here but McNulty Couldn’t score when he was up front on his own, wasn’t it until Robins partnered him with Biamou it all started to flow?

Also, I would like to see Godden up top with Kastaneer. His pace and physical presence could benefit Godden. Might be an unpopular decision but just throwing it out there to see what everyone else thought?

Max & Godden for me Kastanner I don’t feel has the brain capacity to play up front mate

He will come out of it, like mcnulty did, I remember everybody destroying him on here but he came good.
And McNulty only "came out of it" once Robins had to change to 442 through injury. Robins is too stubborn. Played alongside Biamou in a 442, Godden WILL score. Currently, hes foing the donkey work for misfiring wingers.

Baka was £350k. And we should make that JCH money back and maybe more in January if he gets a move.

2 up front, Biamou and Godden would get my vote. Who would I drop? I’m not too sure what Walsh adds to our team...

Oh, ok, I thought we paid 500k for him, Yeah we should get the money back for JCH and we almost doubled our money on Chaplin, doesn't excuse the fact that we should have reached the play offs but for a mis-firing strike force.

While I agree that if I had to pick one of Max or Godden to have that chance I'd pick Godden, but I don't think you could assume Max would miss. He has to score sometimes and those chances were decent at pro level. Plus on the headed chances he's a bit taller so would have likely got on the end of it.
