Fans Arguing Lastnight (1 Viewer)

Bald fella and a bearded fella exchanged heated words lastnight down the front of block 30/32. Bald fella looked fooming. Stood up giving the big I am to the bearded fella (who was with his, now crying daughter). Shit himself when the other fella stood up to him though! Old bill came and moved the bloke and his daughter somewhere else in the ground. Sobbing her little heart out bless her!
What the fuck is wrong with some people?!
I dont know what was said by who or to who, but have a social filter ffs.
If it was the bearded guy that started, your with your daughter ffs, have some morals! And same the other way round if badly started it! The guys with his daughter! Hopefully she was still there for the goal at the end so her night wasnt completely ruined!

Were playing better football than we've played before. 100% home record, top of the league, one of our longest unbeaten runs, one of only 5 unbeaten teams left in the leagues and yet people are still finding things to argue between ourselves about at the match!!

Maybe it was hair envy.

When you are bald on top and maybe struggle to grow a beard like errrr one of my mates I know......there is nothing worse that some bloke with one of those big fuck off beards young dudes grow these days being flaunted in your face...... I’m told

Bet beardy was stroking it in an exaggerated suggestive manner...... that’s just asking for it in my (err my mates) opinion!!!

Case of mistaken identity apparently. There was a bloke just behind beardy bloke who spent the first 10 mins getting really angry about literally everything. Think the lad down the front was having ago at him, and beardy bloke thought it he was having a go at him.... Needless to say angry man was very quiet for the rest of the match

Yeah, he seemed very big, until the bigger beardy bloke stood up and knocked his hat off didnt see badly again for the remainder of the match tbf. But then, I wasnt looking out for him either but he did seem to sink into his shell(suit jacket)

I was right next to it and know exactly what happened.
The guy on the end of block 32 was shouting and balling from the off, totally over the top and yes there was some bad language but I wouldn't say he was intimidating or aggressive but he was a bit of a nuisance, (this isn't the baldy guy you're on about, he enters the fray later).
Bearded guy has had enough and asks him in a reasonable manner to pipe down, watch the language he has a kid with him etc.
Maniac starts to defend himself saying he's shouting at the players he's not doing any harm etc. That causes bearded bloke to launch in to a tirade where every other word was fuck or c**t, (which is strange considering he was bothered about bad language around the young girl), mixed in with some threats to knock maniac out , at this point the girl starts crying, prompting beardy bloke to say to maniac, "now look what've you've done"!.

In the meantime a few fans around the vicinity of the incident have also started having a pop at the maniac, however, baldy bloke isn't having any of it and starts having a go at bearded bloke for his over the top reaction and pointing out he caused the young girl to burst in to tears. Him and bearded bloke burst out of their seats and square up to each other and stewards start to head towards the incident, bearded bloke grabs his bag and the kid and fucks off and baldy bloke, who in my opinion was right about the bearded blokes over reaction goes back to his seat.
Maniac was quiet for the rest of the half and I took my customary wander to the other end of the stand at H/T so I could watch the goal mouth action so I don't know if there was any more nonsense after that.

I saw the poor kid crying and him walking to the other end and at the time felt sorry for them, bloke sounds a tool tbh so glad we have a first hand account.

We sit that end and tbh I expect a bit of bad language. t's the football and I always say to my daughter (who thinks it's hilarious when she hears it btw!) that as long as she doesn't repeat it (and more worryingly she loves the chant fk the wasps, fk sisu …). If you want to avoid it there is a family section, if someone starts in there they need telling. The rest of the ground is fair game imo. Not aggressively, certainly not at hose around you, but in chants, in general conversation and in exuberance or frustration I think it's perfectly fine. Not nice, not everyone likes it (not just kids either as my 73 year old mum would hate it), but you have a choice where to be and can avoid it.

Sounds like what was needed was a touch of humour to defuse the situation, when beardy guy and baldy squared up beardy guy should have draped his beard over baldy's shiny pate, they both would have laughed, shook hands and agreed what twats they'd been, the little girls tears of anguish would have turned to tears of laughter, Bob's your uncle.

That comes across as a police statement. Well written by the way !

They should have given the little girl custard pies, and let her splat both of them. I'd have gone to Brum to watch that.

The angry guy who first started it all - the one that the bearded chap objected to in the first place - he pisses me right off. Used to see him every few games near the front of block 17 at the Ricoh. On his feet waving his arms & bitching & moaning about something every two minutes. No idea why he even comes to games, it never looks like much fun for him.

Really? I thought it would be one of them where he wakes up in the morning, realised he'd had a bit too much to drink and behaved like an idiot and vow never to repeat his performance!

Can't believe he does that regularly. Can't be good for your health. Both from a blood pressure perspective and the increased chance of getting a leathering.

How do you deal with someone like that ?
A smack in the gob, grabbed by the throat, or took to one side for a "quiet "word ?
This type unfortunately believe they are acting normal, they are right and everyone else is wrong. We've all known this type of character, drank with or worked with. In my past I'd just give him a dig and that would suffice, or threaten violence to see his reaction. Now these days I prefer the verbal approach, and hope the person sees sense. Sadly and I'm not condoning it at all, some blokes only stop when they've had a few teeth loosened !

Some people post veiled threats on here to sound hard and I simply think internet warriors. If BBR says he gives someone a dig or threatens violence I 100% believe him. Seems a nice guy most of the time, old enough to be my dad, I'm 6ft2, 23 stone and yet I reckon I'm a bit scared of him! :)

I’m normally far enough away that I just roll my eyes & think “ok he’s off again”. But if you were sat right behind him it would try your patience very severely. I’ve seen a few people having a word or taking the piss, but then he’s back the next time with exactly the same shit. So it’s evidently just the way he’s made & he can’t help himself.

Me and Houch must come to St Andrews to " have a word " with this chap. Only joking. I'm a reformed character these days, and mellowed years ago. Although I went to a boxing event on Saturday with my son and a mate, and wanted to put the gloves on and get in the ring. My son does charity boxing and so I'll leave it to him.
But joking apart violence can lead to more violence as I learnt the hard way. Buy the guy a beer at half time, tell him to chill out, and hopefully he'll calm down !

The fact is that the bearded lunatic has been getting away with this behaviour for years, possibly decades and people just accept it because they're in a big crowd. It's proof that the bystander effect is real.

Fair play to the guy with the kid for challenging him even if he didn't go about it the right way.

So what your saying is the football brings out the 'flight or fight response" in him.

These days it's more likely to be a public shaming on youtube with his antics going viral and making him look like a prize twat.

I think i remember this chap from the ricoh, every other word is a swear word but it's all aimed at the pitch and the ref and not at those around him, it is annoying if you're sat near him, he certainly lives every second of every game. I had a guy in front of me last year that used to stand up as soon as we crossed the half way line blocking my view, people eh, live and let live.

Saw this all go on a few rows in front. Both morons who got taken out deserved it. One of them was annoyed about the guy in the next block’s constant shouting- so stood up and did the same back. Intelligent. Then the man at the front seemed to be worried about the example being set to his kid so thought the best course of action would be to almost start a fight in front of him. They were made for each other.

But worrying how long the stewards took to notice anything though. They could’ve been swinging for each other long before anyone split them up.
