Anyone else finding this a bit weird? Boddy now live at 8.30 on trish adudu tomorrow. Today Fisher crawls out the woodwork talking shit. And randomers on twitter claiming were back for the tranmere game.

Somethings afoot, or just more mudslinging and PR?

If I remember correctly, wasn’t our first game back at the Ricoh scheduled for TV before we announced being back? Coincidence that Tranmere is on telly...

Anyway I’m enjoying St Andrews can’t we stay a little while longer!

Thought it was odd that Fisher used the word “weeks....” in his Talksport interview.

Why say weeks if nothing was on the horizon?

I dunno, probably nothing.

Just all seems a bit strange at the minute. They both don't need to come out and say stuff if nothings afoot.

Rather stay at St. Andrews, took me 15min to get home last night from door to door, pitch is better and the style of football we play needs a quality pitch.

It’s not home but it’s what we need

I don’t agree. The club will die and is dying at st Andrews. The reasons you gave don’t outweigh the club dying for me.

Can’t believe people are saying they’d rather be in Birmingham. I understand all the arguments for it; better pitch, matchday experience etc but seriously?

Again, it’s comments on a site that represents a minority of cov fans. Personally last night was depressing and reminded me a reserve game until the last min goal. I’m ok with going to watch game there as I know it’s different to Northampton. That said, concerned it could go on for years and concerned it opens the door for a name change or location change as “as long as we fulfil fixtures we are ok”

I will be gutted to go back and play second fiddle to Wasps. They get all but a fraction of the food and beer etc to keep them alive, the pitch is shit and we have to turn up in the back of beyond with no decent pubs or grub stalls just the over priced casino or the shyte served up in the stadium filled with Wasps posters and stalls not open for us.
Yes let’s get back “home” well they can fook off it’s not home and the sooner the part time fan wankers realise the better.
We have never been made welcome at the stadium built for us and the council and Wasps are looking for us to come back cap in hand to bail them out.
It will go on for years whilst we prop the c@nts up.
I think I’m out on this one lol!

If the Ricoh pitch is the same standard as last season it’ll knacker the whole style of play. Our slick passing will get stuck in the divots.
We might have bigger gates for a few weeks until we lose due to playing on a ploughed field.
I hope MR has a say in the details of any deal .... specifically about the length of grass and standard of pitch.
If this is sorted - let’s come home and give MR and the team a full house all season... win, lose or draw. This team deserves to be supported by full stadium

For everyone saying we can’t progress playing second fiddle to wasps; we have a better chance competing in the championship renting at the Ricoh than renting at St Andrews.

Edit: I hate Wasps an extraordinary amount, I’m just thinking about what’s best for our club.

We have an even better chance in our own ground in our own city with all year round revenues. Just like the owners said years ago and have said again today

Not sure who the part time fans are I go home and away and I can't wait until we are back in Coventry. I'm not bothered about the pubs and the food stalls. I hate all of the Wasps paraphernalia but I can ignore that. The club may not get much from the food, drinks, car parks etc but that shortfall will be more than made up for by the huge increase in attendances, at least 100% on the St Andrews gates. The pitch is the only real downside. However, to say we need to stay in Birmingham because the pitch is better is daft.
We need to come back ASAP.

Last time he was on talksport he said good news was coming in about 3 weeks. It never did. He's a lying bastard and should never ever be trusted.
....that is ,of course, unless he thought leaving the Ricoh was the good news.

We won't be back at the Ricoh anytime soon... But if we played our first game at 12pm on a Sunday against Tranmere we'd barely muster 12k.

And? Are you suggesting that I’m against building and owning our own stadium in Coventry? My post was about people saying they’d rather be in Birmingham than at the Ricoh.

No. I’m agreeing. Birmingham could have free beers, free food, free parking and Dion Dublin sitting next to you, but it’s not Coventry and would have a short term impact. No kids would follow us
