We would have lost this (or at least not won) in previous years. Despite the increased pressure in 2nd half, we never looked in trouble. Another happy sat night !

Typical football cliche

Don’t mind whether we win 1 or 5-0, at some point just the single goal won’t be enough, wish we’d just pump some teams

You mean like ipswich and sunderland. Gd could make the difference so yes we should be looking to more but happy with 3 points

The second half we sat back too deep allowing Gillingham to come and have a go. Our free flowing game disappeared. The changes introduced did nothing for us in particular Bakayako. I hope the second half lethargy was down to Tuesday night. Can't wait for Allen to be fit as I think he is a key player. There were heavy legs out there. But 3 points, clean sheet when not performing too well is a great sign.

I think it was more to do with the changes that they made that stifled us a bit and led to there being less space.

Also not many seasons in the past we would have come back like we did on Tuesday. The sort of thing that could make a big difference at the end of the season.

Spot on with your cliche as well :)

Get the boys in, regroup and we go again next Saturday and look for 3 points. No easy games in this league

We won, only criticism from me was our passing in the final third was too loose, but we are work in progress and will get better, and we beat the munchkin man, I’ll settle for that and sleep well tonight,

Just arrived in Singapore.

Does anyone know of anywhere that shows the games here? I'm sure there was a supporters club here at one point.
Head to Boat Quay or Robertson Quay for bars showing footie. Will only be EPL though most likely. Maybe some rugby if there’s any on.
I think there were a couple of us there for a while but can’t really call it a supporters club.

Good news ??? Hope we don’t ever get bad news, after Tuesday had we been at the Ricoh I reckon we’d be on for approaching 15k. 5k+ is about as good as it gets and we’ll be relying on away fans to bolster the crowd.

How would we be on 15,000 we hardly ever got that at the Ricoh

I’m not in agreement but a lot who are going that I’ve spoken to prefer St Andrews

Assume you’ve not spoken to the majority who haven’t gone then, as they haven’t turned up ?

It’s an away day atmosphere with pubs, trip away, all cov fans in one stand etc. Bound to be better. Same as for some reason why people make a big deal of an away day at MK.

It’s not a majority it’s half. And those half that go will be realising what dire experience the Ricoh is

Didn’t get 15k last season so don’t see how. I think it could push up to 7500 home fans

Why do I feel disappointed?

I see what you are saying Paxman - second half was disappointing.

But it's been a brilliant start to the season. Unbeaten and the atmosphere at Brum is far exceeding my expectations.

And on top of that we had key players missing today. Today's team was missing Dabo, McFaz, Allen, and Kast. And O'Hare only made an appearance off the bench. That's arguably 4-5 starters who didn't feature and we still bossed the first half and won the game overall. That's highly decent and it's pretty clear that O'Hare is going to be a key player for us this season - he's quality and will fit our midfield 3 perfectly.

Just got back, enjoyed the day. Decent 1st half but we were a little too deep in the second and let them play a little too much but still created some chances. Thought there might have been 7k today given the weather and how we are playing but won’t lose sleep over that.
Joint 1st tonight! PUSB!
