Pay on the gate (1 Viewer)

I note from the club update today that those paying cash on the gate will now be housed in newly opened blocks 17, 18 and 19. Just a heads up for those intending to pay cash, you'll now be sat in the corner and you won't be able to gain access to the Kop Stand blocks, so if you want a side-on view or to meet up with your mates, you'll need to buy in advance.

I guess it's easier to manage that way, so it's understandable in one sense. One effect will be that the Kop Stand will be a good deal emptier than for the 1st game as it was filled up by people paying on the gate, and they'll now be separated. They're trying hard to recreate the Ricoh experience!

The Kop and Tilton aren’t sectioned off from each other. 17, 18 and 19 are in the corner where the two stands meet.

They were announcing details of Saturday’s game as we were leaving last night. Price is £20 for adults with no increase if you pay on the day.

They are separated by a small fence that runs between T20 and S22, and the gangway is gated. It's how they stop the Tilton and Kop Stand mixing. They might leave the gate open, but they were very strict at the other end where they have the same separation with the Kop Corner.

Yep, no pay on the day increases this year. In fact, isn't it more expensive to buy in advance with the Ticketmaster fee?

No fee. It's a flat £20 online.

Ta, I've only been to Bolton so far so didn't realise they'd dropped that. Even better.

I'd always book online anyway as I like to pick my own seat, and I prefer as close to half way as I can get (which looks like not very close at SA).

What is wrong with paying in advance? If you are last minute.com then surely you just accept what you get, you can't expect to be next to your mates in prime seats.
