I notice by now Bolton and Bury will have to satisfy the E F L that they can play Saturday if they end up getting kicked out of the league that will mean 4 less games in an already financial troubled season what effect do people think that will have on Sisu's plans( if they have any) and what effect would it have on the money that could be spent season 2020/1

Honestly?

The EFL are only making the decision on their first games. Not the season.

And do you think 2 home games of 4 to 5k attendance will make any difference to MRs budget?

Stop trying to stir the shitpot.

Lose what crowd money from a maximum 10,000 crowd between the two of them?

Either mean two teams less to fight against for promotion, or two teams replacing them, in which case no change.

2 games at 5000 people probably brings in 100K or 120K against that they don't have to pay out rent, wages for stewards, subsidise coach travel and match day expenses etc of probably around 30k or more in total. Plus some (most ?) of the income is from season tickets which i would guess is not refundable and already received

so would be probably down below 30k. In the scheme of things not going to make a great deal of difference

As for the following season League should be back to full compliment so why would there be a difference?

Less money but less cost. It's only really 2 games.

I think you are a fair bit out especially when costs are deducted.
Also hilighted that as bad as our situation is there are teams in more immediate danger.

Last accounts 2018 (ave crowd 9700 and checkatrade win in that year) showed net losses total over £2.5m I think (that is after profits on player sales £970k). Even making savings on the wages budget they will lose 1m+ in match income because of smaller crowds. I dont really see losses going down from at least previous levels. More likely to go up over £3m in total. It could be worse

Yes I know the interest over 1.8m is not paid on the loans (largely) but it is still a substantial charge on profits so can not be ignored. Even if you put the interest to one side in 2018 the club still made net 700k losses (and thats after including player profits of £970k).

The only thing that changes the situation are player sales and/or player sale add ons. Wilson and Maddison seem to be staying put, that leaves Bayliss. Nothing happened on that front so far.

Wouldnt be unreasonable to argue that 2020/21 could be even worse unless team is successful and there is at least one large transfer

C V D too true a look at Bolton's websites remind me of 2007 when you fear the worst. Even if they get out of this they start -12 at least probably more no chance of looking up past bottom 3 at least until Christmas at the earliest .
