Anyone know what the current state of play is - who is out of contract this season (so will be gone after the Southampton game) and who we have got at this moment in time for next season (barring the sale of any CCFC players in the Poundshop or even the 99p shop!)

Clingan, Crainie, Eastwood, Platt, Ireland, Herman, Nimley and Noorward are the players who's contracts are up at the end of the season! (Nimley and Noorwards are Loan contracts)

Don't think Willis, Roberts and Daniels have contracts either...

when you think about if we go down we're going to lose about 8-9 players unless they sign on.
  • norwood and nimley go back to there clubs
  • hreidasson clingan craine platt eastwood all out of contract
  • keogh will most likley go under current owners
  • jeffers and ireland might leave aswell.
(mcpake and Rod may go if hibs want them full time)
how small will our squad be then

Really?!? I find that most baffling. Why?!? He's a right arrogant prick who deals in half-truths..granted that's a 50% truth factor improvement over Ken and Len , but he's even more condescending and patronising than them. He's not in any way a "good guy", he's just another SISU placeman. Incredibly similar to Clouting in style.

He sure kept us in the loop about those impending loan signings-whilst knowing full well we were under embargo!

And isn't Richard Wood out of contract, or have we just considered him as "effectively left already"?

I think Wood has another year left. Wouldn't surprise me if he was captain next year, good player for League 1.

Agreed: not a player I rate at Championship level, but if he can get fit and we can afford a player on his salary still, he'd be perfect. Not a great footballer, but you don't have to be at CB in L1: you need to be a big strong bugger who doesn't mind a battle, particularly in the air, and Wood and McPake would be the ideal partnership in that regard (again, fitness/salary concerns aside). Indeed I think if fit they'd be more effective than Keogh and Cranie in that division given the oppositions more direct styles.

The other great thing about Wood is he's got promoted from that division before and knows what to expect in terms of "culture shock".

Just please lets us find somebody who can play LB to cover/rival Hussey (surely there must be some stones that Fisher and co "left unturned?!"), as I never want to see Wood play at LB ever again!

Looks like who ever put this info onto wiki hasn't updated it.

ANDY THORN has hailed Conor Thomas and Cyrus Christie for signing new deals with Coventry City - and is expecting big things from the talented youngsters.
The club announced on Tuesday that the duo had followed Gael Bigirimana’s lead by signing contract extensions

agreed though Jeffers has a year contract left!!!

I'm still amazed he got a 2 year extension. This was the forest suggestion to me last pre season that SISU were planning on this being our relegation yr. who knows he might do well in League 1? But like the rest of our current squad imo

Worst part of this post? We've got to keep Bell and Baker until 2015!
