If Robins was poached, he would be a good choice imho, given SISU's abysmal record in choosing managers (1 1/2 good ones - Robins plus a bit of Mowbray)

My Blues supporting friend at work loved Gary Monk. He felt he might leave, not be sacked. He was saying that if Monk did leave he hoped they would take Hughton back again.

All the Blues fans at work also saying Hughton is the man, also said Monk will probably go to Derby if Lampard leaves.

Awful decision and must be something more to this than performance as he kept them up despite the deductions. Some ST holders demanding a refund!

Apparently Monk went mental when Jotta was sold to Villa.

I may be a cynic but could Monk's sacking have anything to do with the story today that Lee Bowyer is on the verge of leaving Charlton who he guided back to the Championship last month
Charlton's owner accuses Bowyer of greed because he's asked for a big increase on his contract
Bowyer used to play for Birmingham late in his career

Think he signed an extension in the end

You're right Nick
This morning's Times said the club had exposed his contract demands and that he was on the verge of leaving
I hadn't seen the updates online today saying they've done a bizarre u turn and he's signed for another year
Charlton are a crazy club

Some financial skullduggery.
I havent seen it in the media, but a Villa fan at work told me, something to do with some dodgy transfers.
Could be bollocks.

Thats what’s being investigated (hence my comment about his mate !;)). One of the transfers (Ashley fletcher) is an interesting one

Links to an agent, inflated transfer fees where it is alleged that the agent got a decent slice. Monk might have been on it.

I've never earned the sort of money football managers do so maybe I don't know what I'm on about but when you're earning a minimum of 10-15 grand a week and have had a couple of big pay offs why would you jeopardise your place on the managerial merry go round if indeed Monk has.
Could be totally unsubstantiated.

tbf I always wonder that with all manner of jobs, no matter how well or badly you're paid.

People tend to be found out in the end!
