If we end up ground sharing is the best possible outcome that sisu win the European appeal and end up forcing wasps out?

I think it was at least a thought process some while ago, but I think we all now believe they are never going to win anyway don't we?

Don’t know about that.
What might come of Sisu's complaint to European Commission
"The European Commission can only take up your complaint if it is about a breach of Union law by authorities in an EU country.”
According to Dr MacLennan, if a public body has conferred a ‘selective advantage’ on a business it is treated as anti-competitive and is usually, therefore, prohibited.
Speaking on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio yesterday, Professor Christine Oughton, an expert on the European Commission, said the Commission has rules on “state aid being given to commercial enterprises” and football clubs are part of that.

She added: “If aid gives a club an unfair advantage over other clubs and a complaint is made, they could investigate.”

I would like to see our owners win it at this stage rather than the egg chasing franchise

But don’t we have to ask the question why didn’t sisu go down this road 4 years ago, what was their agenda for going on and on through the British court system when it looks like a simple yes or no from the EC would have done.

It sounds like this is going to take years to resolve. What will be left of the club if they are forced to play outside of the city for 5, 6, 7 years or more?

I don’t think I have ever been so down and pessimistic about the future of our club. There have been so many down times in the past few years, the sale to Wasps, relegation to the fourth division and exile in Northampton. This feels far worse than anything that has happened in the recent past. When we were moved to Northampton, it felt almost like a bereavement to me. Something that I loved and valued, almost for the whole of my life, had been taken away from me, for no reason other than to be held to ransom, to be a bargaining chip. However, the Ricoh was there, there was always an option to return. This time I can see no light at the end of the tunnel. I cannot see how or when we will come back.
This time I will get a season ticket, I will go and watch us. At the moment I can still only see me going with my heart in my boots. For the life of me, I cannot see how we will do anything but gradually shrivel and die.The feeling of doom and gloom has returned. Pathetic I know, that a football club should have such an effect on a grown man, but the last two days, since the news broke have left me feeling under a cloud. Sisu, Wasps and CCC should hang their heads in shame, but they won’t. They don’t care. I am sure I am not the only one feeling like this.

But there’s still two weeks to go until the 29th and I suspect a lot of water to go under the bridge yet, let’s see where this ground share proposal is, wasn’t there two options ? Or even IF it’s still there, if heads of terms have been signed as said it just needs announcing, why wait ?

Because the EC rules are that you can’t complain to them until and unless you have exhausted all avenues of challenge in the domestic courts.

The spotlight will be turned back on The Wasps once the media inevitably focus on the fact that the complaint to the EC cannot be retracted, and therefore SISU cannot do anything to appease Eastwood's demands. Wasps will almost have to turn it into a ' we'll deal with someone new, but not SISU' but unfortunately nobody can force the owners out. As others have said CCFC are piggy in the middle, but (and I know our owners are also culpable) Wasps 'excuse' for not talking is now nonsensical, other than to financially distress CCFC - we have to be financially self sufficient (whilst ironically financially distressing themselves)

We care and therefore it has an impact on us all. It is like an untimely death because I’m definitely in the anger phase.....next is the mourning of the loss.

For me, as I am sure it is for most people, the best groundshare option would still be the least worst option.
If we could somehow play at the Butts, still be in Coventry, then that would be the option I favour most.
I was wondering about Brandon. Presumably the stadium is still there as I don’t think any houses have been built on it. I think there has been some vandalism, arson. As an option, I would choose this next. It is still virtually in Coventry but has the advantage of being outside of the control of CCC. I don’t know who owns it, how much renovation would be needed to turn it into a temporary stadium for us. I am sure there would be lots of residents up in arms and the infrastructure isn’t great. It is probably a no- hoper but would still leave us in the City (almost).
After that I would prefer groundshare at Nuneaton or Rugby. Infrastructure and ground size likely to scupper these. I am sure that Sisu would want to spend as little as possible, temporary stand toilets etc would cost them. The likelihood therefore is somewhere like St Andrews. Two thousand City fans rattling around in a 30k stadium is an awful prospect. For this reason I would prefer Burton. I hate the thought of going back to Sixfields.

Lots and lots of work needed. OK, you could do temporary stands, but you'd effectively need a new stadium there.

That being said, long-term it could be an option, you'd think... but only if it wasn't at the expense of the Bees. I know they're not there now, but as long as it stands they have hope, even if very slim.

As an aside, the garden centre opposite is being cleared so has obviously been bought. Combine the stadium with that, and we could have had enough land for our needs...

Pretty much bang on, nothing to feel ashamed of about how you're feeling. We all feel the same way.
