What tactics would you use for the last 4? (5 Viewers)

In the description.
As I said in the other post, I would play 4-3-3, cause 4-4-2d doesn't work.
Platt, Nimely and McDonald up front, with Clingan, Macca and Norwood in Midfield, and the normal back 4.
We may as well, cause a draw would not do. We just have to go for it. We have a relatively strong front line, and I think that the combination of height(plattini), skill+pace(nimely), and goal poaching(McDonald) could work.
So, what would you do? Bare in mind, we need wins, not draws!

All out attack. There is no point playing the sit back, pass it around the back, pass it to murphy and then nail it up front game.

1-1-8 should do it.

Agree, rather go out with a bang than a whimper(which is what so very nearly happened at Charlton).

Yes, it is. That's where I got my tactical know-how from.

Go for broke. Afterall what have we got to lose now.

Unless we win the majority of the remaining games we will be sunk.

Don't ask the men with moustaches. Since SISU have tightened the purse strings we should ask Maureen - she gives you more.

Why 4-4-2? That hasn't been working, and we need goals.

Well, if you look at assists, our leading provider of assits is Macca, with 4 - which is terrible. We haven't got any player in the top 50 'assist' providers in the league. So, I think we're better off charging down the wings, either from the wide players, or with overlapping full-backs to solve this problem. Clarke got two assists in the Peterborough game, didn't he, and I think we should encourage pushing on. The wide players also offer protection to the full-backs too - something badly missing on Monday in my view.

Also, I think stretching the play across the park will give more space for Norwood to run into - with him playing in a more attacking role than Clingan. Gives him the ball in the right positions for shooting from longer range, or picking the killer pass into, or close to the box; which he seems best suited to do.

I think ;)

I have done a rather brilliant Paint Diagram showing the formation I'd like to see for the run in. Form.JPG

Not only is it genius tactics, but also a work of art.

Atack- Attack - Attack...!!!

I still feel drained from yesterday's non-starter-of-a-day-out and would like to see some excitement until the end of the season:)

Go for it, go for it city, Sky Blues, shooting to win...

5 - 3 - 2 seemed to be quite exciting in the old old days...remember those? And why not...exciting wing play needed. 5 being the front line of course...for those unfamiliar!
