Let down, again. Absolutely terrible performance and a complete lack of commitment. Bitterly disappointed and angry. Thorn should have made the changes MUCH earlier, and he took the wrong player off when he did make the sub.

Murphy 6 - Couple of decent saves
Clarke 6 - Just plain average
Keogh 6 - A few decent tackles, not much else
Craine 5 - Didn't seem to do anything
Hussey 4 - Seemed scared to attack the line
Mcsheffrey 2 - Did barely nothing, poor passing
Deegan 4 - Passing again bad
Clingan 3 - Now he was awful, simple passes went straight to there team
Norwood 4 - Should of cleared 2nd goal
McDonald 7 - MoM Only player who looked like he was putting in effort, was most dangerous
Platt 2 - What an absolute joke he was, total shit

Thorn 3 - Should have made sub around 65th minute and when he did make it, Platt had to go off. Bigi should have been on around 70th min

Platt 2 but a McSheffrey 4? Must have been a different game. McSheffrey was anonymous all game except for getting beat and having to foul.

Didn't watch much of the online stream, but really, that bad?

We all know Clive and his limitations. I think the problem is relying upon him too much, he's not a 20 goal a season striker is he.

I never really expect him to score, as you say not a goal scorer. But every ball that went outside a half meter radius around him he made no effort to get it. When he did get the ball straight on his head it went miles away from any of our players. When he had opportunities to hold it up, he rushed the pass and lost it

These are pro footballers, 2 games in 3 days shouldn't phase them. You can be tired but still show passion and give it your all.

Well agree Nick, but once again I have to say Bristol were able to make SIX changes today. Six fresh players.

i thought we looked ok first half but it was the goal so early in the second half that gave them a great lift and there tails were up from that moment on. thats what beat us

To be honest I thought Clarke was certainly one of the better players today. Hussey played well too, apart from giving away a single easy corner at one point.

Clarke did play well I think. Keogh was a yard or two behind though.

I have to say that we were awful. it may be that the players weren't fit, it may andy thorn's tactics and it may be sisu. Either way the club is in the worst state imaginable. Who knows when it will end.

The essential truth is this.

Today was a key game for us, an opportunity to place some real pressure on Bristol. And, once again, we've been bested. We simply didn't do enough. Think back to the game against Forest. Another key game that gave us a chance to put some real pressure on those teams around us. Both of these games demonstrate that when the pressure is on, we have a real tendency to crack. Both games demonstrate that we have a squad that struggles to play two games in quick succession. We cannot chop and change as much as other teams, and our fitness takes a battering.

bottling it or disappointing when the chips are down is not new at CCFC is it. Seems to me it isnt about the size or age of the squad it is more about the whole ethos at CCFC. Successive managers have failed to instill a positive winning belief over the last 10 years. We are not asking players to do more than the basics and to give more ... somehow it never happens when it counts. That in my opinion is not just about the players ...... or just the manager ..... or just the board.... or just the owners - it is down to all of them in different ways or reasons but in pretty much equal measure.

ONce again gutted and let down by the lot of them this season

Will you now change your Thorn rating based on what we now know? Or would you still have liked to have taken the injured Platt off and replaced him with the just as injured Nimely?

I would have gone with an equally injured nimely

I suppose he could have poked them both with a stick and discovered which cried out in pain the loudest. The one who cried the least could have been chosen to start then.

The fact that you think Clingan deserved 3 out of 10 belies the fact that ratings are subjective. Platt didn't have a great game. Sheffers did very little. Clingan was better than the ball with most and contributed more than Norwood. But, we like Norwood and we don't like Clingan, so we see what we want to see. Bullshit. McDonald should have stayed on instead of Platt but barely had a touch in the second half. No one deserves a two and no one deserves a seven. Average performances from top to bottom, Clingan was probably the most composed Sky Blues player on the park (but we know he is capable of more and he has been a let down overall this season, so let's give him a three).

At the end of the day I am entitled to my own opinion and the whole team were crap

Was planning on getting tickets but sold out before I could. So instead I watched the whole game on the internet, so I am as entitled to rate the players as anyone who went. I rated Clingan poorly because he seemed to effect the game very little, and the simple passes were awful

3 players not 6 , get it right

No definitely 6 changes for Bristol City - from Bristol City's website.

Stephen Pearson has recovered from a chest complaint to face Coventry City at Ashton Gate.
Liam Fontaine also returns to captain the team, whilst there are recalls for Brett Pitman, Neil Kilkenny, Ryan McGivern and Albert Adomah.
The outgoing sextet are: Jamie McAllister, Louis Carey, Martyn Woolford, Chris Wood, Hogan Ephraim and Kalifa Cisse.

How poor were the Bristol goals from the defence.

First a man gets free from a corner and Stead flicks it in with 2 players marking him

2nd goal Christie dives in and 3 players on the line all fail to clear it

3rd goal a throw goes past 3 players we fail to win the tackle, Cranie sort of half tackles and kicks the ball straight to Wood
