SAS who dares wins (1 Viewer)

Probably my favourite programme on at the moment.

Thought maybe they'd run out of ideas but the introduction of women coupled with the cold weather environment has made it compelling viewing.

My admiration for our armed services guys up every time I watch this (and Paras which I just caught up with tonight).

Is it just me or have they seemed to have toned it down this series? Used to be a lot more intense scrutiny and grilling in the interviews.

Has there been any negative press or usual social media outrage with the equal treatment of women and men? Haven’t seen anything but would have expected people to say it wasn’t fair etc etc

Have you not read the current climate at all? Surely the opposite would be true.

That would assume these individuals gender! Will be interesting if a woman wins in the end or not (if there is one winner?). Some of those blokes are absolute machines

I have a friend who started SAS training and although a very fit soldier already when I saw him about a year later he was massive and was everything you would expect just a machine.

Brilliant episode last night, some shit hard exercises but heart wrenching stories especially the poor bloke who lost his wife through suicide

BBC's Special Forces was a much better version of this. The contestants would have an instructor from a different nation's force every week instead of beardy bellend, women were part of it from the start anyway, and the people calling them shitty cunts weren't then kidnapping them during the night to play psychiatrists in their five minute of X-Factor bollocks.

They'll give it to a female, to show that they're modern and non sexist, but the blonde is tough.
Yep I think so, they have put a lot on letting women into the front lines etc so they can’t then not let one win although I don’t have a clue whether one or more can finish. The fireman dude is the strongest physically by far and tended to have his shit together but now he has confessed his secret maybe he will be a wreck!

What about the Swedish Special Forces woman who was undercover, she was a tough nut.

Some women are tough. I've had blokes work with me on the window round, and as soon as it was cold/wintery etc they couldn't handle it,but my stepdaughter worked with me in bitterly cold days and never complained. I was impressed.

She was scary. Reckon she would slit your throat and never think about it again.
I'm not sure I'd want her telling me I've got Cancer to be honest. Lacked humanity all through the program.

She was class, I called her reaction too. The outpouring of emotion from the two guys who had their own specific reasons to be there was also expected, but she was so cold I loved it. Not sure they can do any more unless they ramp it up now .Lots of sob stories and seen the format for four series, so don't want it to turn into X-factor and now seems a good time to end it.

There's definitely at least one more series planned, they were calling for applicants after it ended. I was watching the lot and I don't think there's a single element of it I would pass, I'd probably get cramp just signing the disclaimers.
