Chelsea interest in Callum Wilson (1 Viewer)

I don't think it's a good move for his career.
He's just on the fringes of the England squad, the only way he'll break into it is if he's playing regularly and scoring regularly. He'll be limited to substitute cameos and Carabou cup matches at Chelsea.
His "advisors" will make a packet out of it though so would advise him it's his best move when in reality, somewhere like Everton (big club, top half finish, maybe pushing for Europa league) would be a better option for him.
That said, he's not getting any younger and with his injury record, a big pay day could be just what's needed. Injury free he probably only has 5, 6 at a push years ahead of him.

I know Chelsea are a lot bigger club than Bournemouth but the absolute arrogance of them to publicly state their interest in a fellow premier league clubs player is done purely to try and unsettle him. This is why I hate the big clubs like this who think it is a divine right to able to sign whoever they want from 'lesser' clubs. I'd be pissed off if I was a Bournemouth fan.

In these days of agents, mobiles etc I doubt if any interest in players anywhere is a secret. As for fitting I’m at Chelsea of course he will, playing with better players is always better I think he’ll fit in too, he’s a good provern Premiership player in a decent prem team too.

I think Solanke is injured and Bournemouth have just offloaded Defoe so I don't necessarily think this frees up Wilson's departure just yet.

Defoe never played for them anyway so I don’t think his departure is even that relevant to them. He’s been fit all season and has only played 4 times. Bournemouth wont be paying £19M Solanke to do the same. Also, Solanke had a muscle problem but I think it was only minor.

Does Chelseas interest in Wilson mean Sisu have found the location of our new ground

could give SISU the opportunity to get get out with and lot more than they might have. How much do they think Wilson will cost Chelsea or anyone else?

I'm going for 45-50 mill. Nice little earner if Sisu get 15% of that.
I'm going on that as Bournemouth have just paid 20 mill for a bloke whose hardly played and scored only one league goal

If that is true then we'd get about 7m if he went for 50m. Would be lovely if we could have some of that to invest in the team.

I would think this indicates someone is on their way, I’ll keep my eye on their cup team this weekend

40-50mil?!?! Not a chance! Love the bloke but he isn't worth that, two major knee problems and over 25. 35 mill max. I bet it's around 15% sell on so hopefully around
5million
Say sold for 35million
15% of 32= 4.8mill

I would have thought the same perhaps £20millionish, but Salonke has cost £19mill. Plus add ins apparently after 2 first team games and one goal, madness

If Liverpool are interested in Callum Wilson, then it has to be Liverpool, it would suit he's style of play.

Some forward line that would be.

Didn't say at all if he was worth it. He scores goals which the bloke who Bournemouth have just bought for 20 million clearly can't do. Even his reserve scoring record is not that good.
If he can pass the medical one of the top teams, I'm going for Chelsea as the bloke they have can't score either, will pay 45-50 mill.
I think them buying Solanki may mean Wilson is going elsewhere.

Depends how you measure getting a chunk of it. Even money that goes into the running of the club would potentially have an impact on budget for next season or beyond. It may mean not having to sell players in a year or two. It's all money into the club that maybe doesn't need recouping elsewhere.

He got a good few bob in the summer to sign a few strikers so I don't see why he wouldn't get a bit to strengthen
