so 7 games will take us to the midpoint

10 points will leave us on course for the play offs
16 points for the autos

my predictions

Accrington H Draw
Burton A Win
Peterborough H Loss
Fleetwood A Draw
Walsall A Draw
Luton H Draw
Shrewsbury A Win

Hoping for more - but hit half way on 37 points, and think we will be on course for 2nd half of the season

Particularly as we then have some easier fixtures through to the end of January

Our form prior to this run has been very up & down & unpredictable we could win all those games really can’t say.

15 points from possible 21 is not out of our reach.

Far too reliant on draws there.

If we consistently play like we have in the first half in the past few games, every single one of those games is winnable.

I don't particularly fear Peterborough either - if we were on form (and put sitters away) we could have easily put the Sunderland and Portsmouth games to bed - in which case, and considering the form right now, Peterborough isn't a big ask.

I think the run will end on Saturday. I prefer to be downbeat, as I do think this a young side which will bounce up and down. I was never expecting anything more than a mid-table finish this year. We can beat anyone on our day however. So i will go for:

Accrington H Loss
Burton A Draw
Peterborough H Loss
Fleetwood A Win
Walsall A Win
Luton H Draw
Shrewsbury A Win

11 points.

For me based on current form that would be a poor return. All teams are tough to beat in this division but to be promoted I think you need to win one every two games, we can do that.

One game at a time for me. No reason why we can’t win Saturday first and foremost. Accrington are nothing special

That's 12 from 21 on mine and as much as I'd like more I think I'd take that if offered.

… and as much as they might be the better sides and a barometer of our progress, we only yielded one point from those two fixtures. I think the coming from behind to win or holding on with pressure in the last few minutes to win are stronger measures. We had no CC v Pompey either which was a factor. We now have confidence and competition for places too.

Pure guesses in reality but i think i would be happy with 10 points from those games although 21 would do nicely

Accrington Win 3 (I think Mconville is banned...massive loss for them)
Burton Draw 1
Peterborough Win 3
Fleetwood Draw 1
Walsall Win 3
Luton Draw 1
Shrewsbury Win 3

13 points... Can’t see us losing at the moment.

I can't either, but some of those wins have been so close to the wire that we certainly must do at some point even if it's an unfortunate undeserved defeat. If we were winning comfortably 2-0, 3-0 then I'd be more inclined to agree.

Unfortunately, 2-0 for us isn't comfortable!

For me Accrington will tell me how far we have come on, they did a proper number on us last season at the Ricoh, scored early and dominated virtually from start to finish. Doing well again and I think this is our hardest match yet.

I always cringe when I read this kind of thread. Always follows a decent result or two, then we all optimistically predict a bumper haul of points, only for the football God's to treat our over confidence with disdain, and we all come crashing to Earth with a sequence of bad results. I know its a complete cliche, but please lets just take one game at a time, and hope the football Gods have missed this thread!!

I’m waiting to see Philosoraptors predicted ratings before I comment further.

I've just seen them.

He says that if we win all 7 and a train is travelling on a Tuesday at 88mph in a westerly direction with 112 passengers onboard, while a librarian is wearing a purple hat in the bath and has eaten three quarters of her egg mayonnaise sandwich, but it is still only 10 minutes past two in the Caribbean, we will get 21 points.

I’d agree with that, in terms of being an indicator of how far we’ve come.
Interesting that AS drew with Pompey last week, as I think Pompey did to us this year what AS did to us last.

We will do well to take a draw against Accrington! Their confidence is sky high and they know how to beat us from last year cos MR has not changed his management style since

But we didn't have Thomas last year, and the boys on fire !! Edit .We've won 5 on the bounce, and so I'm glad MR hasn't changed his style !!

Not sure how high confidence is drew with Pompey but got hammered by Luton week before 4-1...
