Just catching up with a few episodes I have recorded.

Very impressed with last week's show. Come across Starcrawler and the Young Fathers for the first time and am very impressed with both and now am just listening to Lily Allen and her song Three, again hearing it for the first time and which I really, really love. Great song.

Anyone else keep tabs on the programme? I do whizz past stuff I am not too keen on, but it's a great programme for giving such a broad spectrum across the industry.

Never intentionally watch it, but I was very Impressed by a singer-songwiter called Hayley Bonar who was on there a couple of years ago, did a couple of songs about how she enjoyed her school days and was having to come to terms with getting older - which I thought was very refreshing considering most popular american indie/rock/alternative is very angsty and often about being an outcast

I've discovered quite a few new acts on there over the years so I watch it whenever I can. Didn't see them on this last week but I remember liking Starcrawler on something and completely forgetting all about them, I'll look it up.

Yeah, definitely a 70's punky, New York Dolls, Tubes vibe going on there.

Was really, really impressed by Young Fathers. Will definitely check them out further.

I liked Hailey Tuck too. Will suss her out a bit more as well.

Love them!

Anyone who likes the classic old punk records should really like Idles.

Where was it at? Kasbah? Empire?

Central library!! Part the reason I was gutted, would have been quite unique.
Promoted by a crowd who put gigs on in libraries though I don't think the acts they put on are normally quite as incendiary as Idles. There's some footage on Youtube, had to give my tickets to a mate who said it was a great gig.

I'm in Glasgow on the 20th of this month when they're playing but I'm at a wedding and they play Brum 26th of this month but I'm away, not having any luck catching them.

though they'd struggle to follow up Brurtalism to be honest but they managed it.

Seem to gig a fair bit so hopefully catch them somewhere soon.
