Why charity? This isn't like Utd testimonials where players have had a career on 30k+ a week for 10 years. He'll be doing considerably better than the average bloke in the street of course, but even after a long career I doubt he's anything like set up for life.

may be do a 50:50 split between him and a chosen charity or two.
Remember, when testimonials are granted the game is just one of several events including stuff like golf days, so it's not only the gate receipts which are generated.
