What happens if he comes and doesn't score in his debut? Another crap signing from Robins.

I wonder if he has been playing for their U23’s. If he hasn’t then it may take him a few matches to get up to speed.

Me neither, I was kind of waiting for the buzzard to correct me.

This is a City fans forum. The grammatical standards in no way detract from the validity of the points being raised. Why not add something constructive to the debates (where appropriate). That would make a pleasant change.

I was seriously contemplating not putting a second bracket to close the expression.

Actually reading my post and understanding it would also make a pleasant change.
The members you talk of make valued contributions (well sometimes) to the subjects being discussed.
You, however appear intent on taking a “high and mighty” approach, which comes across as both condescending and belittling.

Tony Cottee? now there was a player that could find a Sky Blue net. His record against us was horrific, 14 goals scored.
Ah I know, he was lethal against us. I kinda hated him as a kid but grew to really like him over time as I learnt an appreciation for his goalscoring. Maybe I just liked Everton more than West Ham, he was maybe a bit less prolific against us for them? The brace in the 4-4 with Liverpool was memorable: Magical Merseyside moments! That's 3 PS's. What happened to the PS4?

Dear Mr Hillsbeard

There is no meaning to my username, at least one that's known only to myself and possibly one other.

Yours aye

Sure but it changes the meaning of your username and replicates the most commonplace and misunderstood grammar errors.

Oh and Hillsbeard is a surname btw!

After carefully studying this clip I have come to the conclusion there is no relevance to the topic. Indeed, it appears to be merely a ploy to pad out an already lengthy thread.

That said I will just check it out a couple more times to make sure I haven’t missed anything.

Norks are great aren't they?

The fascination never subsides.

With the caveat that I've not seen Chaplin play, I keep reading "there's no way Chaplin can play up front on his own, he'll have to play off a bigger striker". Whilst I'm not saying he will be deployed on his own, it seems a bit naive to suggest a short player (that's what it sounds like people are insinuating) can't play up top on his own, for the majority of his time with us Armstrong (5 foot 7) played up front on his own.
