What time does 'match day' start for you?

How do you get to the ground? What time?

Do you eat/drink before/during the game?

Do you go to a pub pre or post-match? Which?

What do you do during halftime?

Anything other things you do?

Train from Banbury to arrive at Cherry Tree at 12.30. Few pints. Some snap from chicken place across the road at half 2. Back to Cherry Tree few more scoops before train home. Lovely.

Match day starts when I get to the ground.

Walk. Usually between 2pm and 2.15pm

Nope. No food or drink. I usually just bring a bottle of water.

No pub pre or post.

Half time I just stay in my seat.

Boring barsteward aren't I. ;)

Old Red Horse for a couple of pints.

Get to the game late.

Pint at half-time in the bar below the East Stand, watch the start of the second half on the telly.

Couple of pints in Strikers. Get the pink, which for some reason always used a slightly blurred font. Couple in the Brewer & Baker (I'm usually feeling oddly brave by this point). Couple in town. Few more at Scholars, if still standing.

Kebab. Home. :)

(Now those were fun times, but looking back on it, I really did drink too much).

Leave village at 1:15pm
Drive - car share with two others
Coffee at M&S
Try to arrive at seats just as players come out
Go for a pee at HT whether I want one or not. Always do by the time I get there. Old man's problem
Go home after game.
Don't need football as an excuse to drink.

Awake at 4:15, shit, shower and shave. Load car and leave the tranquil idyll that is Hayling island at 5:30, nurse poorly car back to the bustling metropolis that is Cov, arrive home 8:15. Chill, catch bus about 1:00, couple of beers somewhere other than the RAOB, up to the Ricoh

Leave Norfolk about 10am, get to the ground about half 12, down the Casino for a few beers watching whatever Prem Game is normally on on a Saturday lunchtime, get to my seat dead on 3. Back down the Casino after the game for a few pints while the traffic thins out, on the road around 7pm, stop at a petrol station for some on the way back beers, get back into Norfolk around half 9 ish, get dropped straight at my local for some celebratory / comiseratory pints whilst telling people that couldn't care less about the days antics

The season for the distant fan is with us, 9 months of following CCFC from afar. Last season we managed 4 games, not sure about this season. On matchday as soon as I wake up my first thoughts are CCFC, I am just back from walking the dog and I was thinking about today's game with butterflies in my stomach. The routine for each game changes, will I follow the match thread on here, watch the BBC or BT live score programmes or none of these and try and make myself busy. Whatever I choose if I get up for a half time drink or toilet break I will always sit back in the same seat. Post match ritual varies too, if we win I will read every thread on here relating to the match & try and find highlights, lose and I try and gauge on here what happened before off goes sbt and no highlights are watched. Thanks to everyone who contributes in the match thread and other threads, you are my lifeline to CCFC. PUSB!!!

go for my lucky dump (just been)
pick up my lad
make breakfast batches
watch sky sports
go to the gas - see all the old friends from last season and check out who snuffed it this close season
leave the gas to go to the game at 14:25pm
sort out the fucking season ticket cos it will get rejected as fucking usual, queue up in the ticket office abuse the no marks behind the counter
late getting in the game missed citys first goal
watch a form of football/drivel for the rest of the half
stand up until second half starts - want another dump so go and miss citys 2nd goal
watch more drivel
city win 2 - 0
have to then listen to everyone say how good the goals were
go home watch QUEST which shows 20 seconds of city action
then go to bed.

I couldn't last season because I was working most weekends which is hopefully about to change at the end of the month. What is the coverage like, is there commentary or just the crowd noise?

I make people hurdle over me and woe betide anyone whose foot happens to catch my tartan rug as they are doing so. Heathens!
Do you ‘tut’ at them and sigh impatiently as they try to squeeze past or merely ignore their existence as you flick through your leather bound programme?

Woke up early (body clock from 4am starts all week) went and made a bowl of cereal whilst watching SSN. Had a shower and walked round the barbers. After this we’ll leave for Cov and head to the wheatsheaf. I’m nervously excited.

I've had a look and for today it says that no match pass is available, I take it that means I can't watch it. It seems that no passes allow me to watch any live matches

Yeah I've just noticed that, what's the craic?

Is Scotland abroad? I thought they were changing it so that we could watch live games in the UK. Not sure I want to get into all that proxy server nonsense :emoji_angry::emoji_angry:

Walk to the casino. Two pints
Sit through 45 minutes of dross. No pints.
Queue up for 15 minutes to get a beer. Give up. No pints.
Sit through another 45 minutes. No pints or points.
Back to the casino. Two pints.
Walk home. No pints.
Sit at home listening to Pavement albums over and over. Many pints.
Bed with an existential fear that most Saturdays are going to involve more pints than points.
Rinse and repeat (might have some Tom Waits on next week to cheer me up)
