On the radio last night they played Jet by Wings. The DJ said it was written about McCartney's pet dog. I never knew that I thought it was just a load of meaningless lyrics. Another record played recently was Pull Up To The Bumper by Grace Jones. The presenter said it was lucky to get past the censors as its about Anal sex ! Bloody hell I thought it was about motoring ! Any other songs you never knew what it was about ?

I always thought 'I Can't Tell the Bottom From the Top' by the Hollies was about a man with a visual impairment trying oral sex for the first time.

Flying on a free flight
Driving all night
With my machinery
'Cause I got the power
Any hour
To show the man in me
I got reputations
Blown to pieces
With my artillery
I'll be guided in
We'll be ridin'
Given what you got to me
Don't you struggle
Don't you fight
Don't you worry
'Cause it's your turn tonight
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me put my love on the line
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me cut your cake with my knife
Like a fever
Burning faster
You spark the fire in me
Crazy feelings
Got me reeling
They got me raising steam
Don't you struggle
Don't you fight
Don't you worry
'Cause it's your turn tonight
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me put my love on the line
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me…
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me put my love on the line
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me cut your cake with my knife
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me put my love on the line
Let me put my love into you, babe
Let me give it all, let me give it all
To you, to you
Give it all

I genuinely thought he liked his guns, and enjoyed sharing a nice cup of tea and a slice of victoria sponge...

Geeky mode on.

He's neither real, nor fictional. He's mythic. There's a germ of truth in mythic figures that mean they *could* be real, and then stories spin out from them... but the texts are effectively fictional as they're based around the writer's contemporary knowledge and usually serve a political point, rather than being a historical account. The aim is to naturalise fiction into truth.

So I'd have argues with the Chaser... and won ;)

At the One Love Manchester concert in tribute to the victims of the bombing, Ariana Grande managed to sneak in her song about being too sore to walk after sex.

I hope nobody tries to tell me Father Christmas isn’t real. He has brought me my presents for 59 years so must be real.

Thought everyone knew Robin Hood was fictitious and probably just an amalgamation of several stories over centuries.
There was no TV or Internet back in those days, so people entertained themselves by storytelling and the stories were passed from person to person and generation to generation and modified each time they were told.
A bit like that old legend that England once won the World Cup.

I didn't know what Spandau Ballet meant until recently. Bit of a weird way to name a band!
