Back tonight 9-00 pm BBC2.
Let's see If the Scandi thrillers still have what it takes.
Looking forward to see how the quirky Saga behaves.

going to give this a go.
Only seen the American versions of 1 and 2. Enjoyed them but I'm not sure how true to the original they are.

Decent start, like the cynical /abrupt character of what I think Is a new detective ,and The bit at the end came out of nowhere.
Edit;- amazing how much you can forget over a couple of years .

Watched the original series when I was living in Gothenburg.

Really helped me kick on with my Swedish but always fucked me over when the Danish actors started popping up.

Honestly, there was nothing better than watching episodes of this in a dingy apartment in a run down part of the city. You could really relate to the series.

Haven't had the heart to watch the 3rd series as it brings me right back there. Might have to push myself into it at some point.

Been quiet on this one due to other events interfering
It's building up nicely but that new detective I said I liked ,am not so sure now.
Thought his abruptness was just quirky but now see him as sinister in some way.

Gotta catch series 3 at somepoint.

Got my head into Spanish at the moment with my holiday coming up so don't really want to start picking up the Swedish again! Will probably wait until I come back.

finished this last night, first series of the Scandinavian version I've watched.
I have to say, and it's usually the other way round, but I watched the two American series and thought they were much better.

Was it known as The Bridge Clint?
My sister reckons she saw something called the Tunnel which sounded like the same concept ?
Has everyone who was watching finished veiwing now as I may be going into spoiler territory ?

The Tunnel was the UK / Franco combination which was also quite good and typically Northern France bleak !

it was mate. With the bridge been between the States and Mexico.
Don't know how close to the first two series of the original it was.
Heard the USA version of the killing is good as well but I only ever saw the Danish one.

Didn't rate it .
Too truncated, down to 14 episodes from 20 in the original, not as much time for or on character development.

I thought the Tunnel was an alternative production under license based on a similar concept.

Anyway the announcer said it was the last ever episode of the Bridge as series finished the other day.

The first series was the same script as the bridge 1. They commissioned the script for Sky Atlantic but didn’t know that the BBC were going to show the actual Scandinavian series

The next two series were original scripts.
