There are plenty of current threads covering just about every possibility of wins points playoff possibilities etc. How about a simple points and position forecast to refer back to for bragging rights after we've been promoted. I'll start:
80 points 4th place

Have to agree with this - 5 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats. Hoping for better.

Newport - draw
Yeovil - win
Notts C - draw
Crawley - loss
Stevenage - win
Lincoln - win
Cheltenham - win
Morecombe - win
17 points
81 total, might be enough for 3rd but more likely 4th.
Edit, we will win the playoffs

I think if we can avoid defeat on Friday we might just go unbeaten for the rest of the season.

That's not to say we might not draw a fair few which could hinder us, but the 2 banana skin games I foresee are Newport and Notts County, both clubs having fantastic home records, albeit Newport just losing their 3rd home game of the season only last weekend.

Wycombe 84, Exeter & City 82 each but we come 5th.
5 wins 3 draws - can't see a reason for losing to either Newport or Notts County, now the team is settled. Hell's teeth we are even scoring from midfield (Vincenti)
Interestingly these are equal to or greater than the historic norm for 3rd place iirc. Needs Wycombe current poor form to get even worse, or our current good form to get a notch better

Thats funny I just typed that (or similar). Newport to lose at home twice on the bounce, maybe not, but a draw certainly

I think Wycombe will bottle it

Can't see Exeter having a superior G. D.

The team with best defence usually goes up automatically. We have the GD edge on two of the teams around us. If results carry on as they are, we could even catch Wycombe on GD too. Atm, our GD being far superior to Exeter’s and is almost like having an extra point on them. Could be a factor.

All in all, I think we we’ll pick up 16-20 points in the next 8 games, so hopefully 80-84pts is enough for 3rd place.

If we are still in with a chance of 3rd place come the last day of the season we will hopefully get a good gate against Morecambe.
