Too many fans don't give players, squads, managers enough time. Even if we don't get promotion or play offs there is a momentum here we would be foolish to give up on.

Some idiots on the phone in:
1. We should accommodate McSheffreys wishes to finish at the club...no we have much better players.
2. Someone moaning about McNulty couldn't hit a barn door for three months...numpty obviously couldn't see he was a class player. (Fair play to Fernadopartridge he was one of the few on here who could see he would come good...I am sure there were others..not just me and Fernando).

.....the clock has stopped, Robins you’re good to carry on!!

I said at the time you were sadly wrong. You frustration was with the wrong man.

Robins isn’t the problem. He is good for this football club come win or lose.

That’s a joke surely.

Mcsheffrey was so far off the pace today. He ought to retire as he cannot play up front at this level any more. Must have been caught offside 5 times

Basically was along the lines of if he wants to finish his career here the club should oblige.
Geoff basically asked him where does he fit in today and bloke just carried on ranting!

McSheffrey was very poor but not below the standard of the rest of their team. Weird atmosphere with some cheering him and some booing him. He should have been ignored while on the pitch. Couple of people nearly kicking off with each other in block 14/15 about him ffs.

For being offside?

Don't get it, he plays for somebody else now the same as all of the other players for Grimsby.
I agree. I’d have applauded him after the game if he came over but apart from that he’s just another player. Don’t see the need to get wound up about him.

Some saying he’s playing for the other team don’t clap him others that he’s a legend and should be applauded
If he acknowledged our fans before or after the game I'd have no problem clapping him, or anyone else that has a connection with the club. Really don't understand clapping an opposition player during the game.

I heard somebody saying that about McNulty! Couldn't hit a barn door!!! Nothing to do with him not been fed by our 2 greedy wingers no?!?!
Didn't hear the McSheffery bit though, that's funny! The amount of fans that wank off shit players simply because they're "one of our own" or they reply on twitter is ridiculous!!

The home defeat against FGR was unforgivable, but I can eat some humble pie. Dropping Biamou and Kelly have been pivotal to our change in fortunes imo, anyone would think Robins reads this forum!!

Indeed. Never got the love in with him, but the bloke on the radio saying we should welcome him back with open arms? What the hell! I know over the years that Coventry City is the over the hill strikers graveyard but that one really does take the Mick!

No he was very passionate about it, like we owed him the shirt.

Dennis Mortimer said I always thought he (McSheffrey) had a good left foot, but never lived up to the hype....modern football is about results not sentimentality, McSheffrey's time at the club has been and gone.

He feels we have an good base of a team and decent players on the bench. Feels things are building and coming together. He thinks we have to control and manage games better.

The wife and i were shouting absolute tripe at the radio - CWR gave half the phone in on a player that has left the club and played for a number since - i would have thought his performance today was a perfect good reason why he shouldnt be anywhere near the club to sign - that fella was in a dreamworld like Robins owed him - Shufty had his time and at that time we enjoyed his goals and effort - nuff said but move on now - come back on leg ends day only for me
