So changes are needed - as confidence needs a boost
I would go with

Burge - Another chance, even though his worst game for a while

Dion K/E
Davies
McDonald
Stokes (Haynes in when fit)

Doyle
Vincencti
Jones
Beavon

Ponticelli (Biamou had enough chances / McNulty 20 goals my arse!!)
Duck

I do think Beavon and Vincenti will come back in. Haynes may just sneak in. He played for the U23's on Monday. Guess it depends on whether Robins will risk him or not.

Yeah, I'd be tempted with something like this. Not a fan of playing Haynes in thr midfield but I would rest Jones and Duck and bring them on against tired legs. People will say it is madness but we need them to start playing for the team and not themselves.

I'd be tempted to drop Grimmer and play DiKE, who seems to get forward more.

We just need to win. Last night was a massive negative, when we need two positives. One to cancel out the negative, and the other....so we can have a positive....

Can you see Robins dropping Jones? Personally, I just can't see it.

We needs results and "team" players.

Big decisions are needed from managers at times, this is one. Lethal on his day but a rest is beneficial right now.

We looked most threatening last night when we were whipping crosses into the box. Their defence shit themselves.

The best one of them came from our centre half.

The pressure is now on Robins . he must not get anymore bad results for a while or he may loose his job after 2 of our worst results in our history

Playing for themselves!! I'm sorry but that is completely mental.

The only reason they are forced to dribble and shoot so much is because the rest of our team don't have a creative bone between them.

Without Jones and Nazon (statistically) we wouldn't have scored for over 2 months...

There were plenty of times last night other players got into decent positions but they didn't even look up, they were dead set on hopeful long rangers.

Would be more tempted by something like this. Give ourselves some genuine width and task strikers with genuinely occupying the 18 yard box – though bit of a height issue between that front 3. That's why Biamou is useful - albeit imperfect.

When is Kwame going to get a chance. He is definitely as good as Biamou, if not an improvement.

Fair enough - I was only hearing it on radio

I was judging largely from Accrington. It's still madness to drop two of the best players in the division though.

Bring Kwame Thomas in, he can't do any worse than our current strikers surely?

That's the thing isn't it, they can get away with it because they are deemed as the best in the division. Are they actually though?

People see them shooting on sight as being creative but ignore the players standing in space shouting for the ball, if they put it top corner then fantastic. If after 5 - 10 times they haven't then it's time to maybe look to lay it off.

i do like shipley as an attacking left back though. when he came on for stoksey that side was quite productive

Largely agree with this. Think Biamou and ponti would work well together.
Biamou was wasteful last night but he’s also the only striker that has seemed to get into the positions to score. Playing with ponti will give him someone to run onto the knock downs.
Would still play jones over Haynes though. Not a fan of trying him at LM, In a game we have to win. Also don’t want to risk injury. Let him get 90 mins for the u23’s

Statistically you cannot argue with that as the goals and assists suggest, but you can also counter argue that by saying others playing instead could of done something too.
It's the unknown.

Assists are-
Jones 5 assists
Nazon 1 assist
Kelly 2 assists
Vincenti 2 assists
Stokes 1 assist
Doyle 1 assist
Biamou 1 assist
Clarke 1 assist (Grimsby- McNulty goal)

We've players who can provide, we just need to change the system to suit the attacking 4 players with a new formation and approach play.

This is what a manager is paid for, it's broke so needs changing

They've the most wasteful in the division I'd say currently, a few games ago you could say otherwise.

Players that young and inexperienced go on and off the boil. The duck has not looked as good as he did before his international games. JJ stats are likely 50/50 on if he's been wasteful or productive for us.

I'm not convinced that the Duck has fully recovered from his international games - especially the travel from Japan.

Shows how desperate we are that people are desperate for the return of Haynes.

If he's going to play you'd have to have a wing back system.

So you'd have grimmer and Haynes as the backs and the three others from last night in the three - or Davies.

I'd then have Kelly in the middle of Vincenti and jones with two forwards - probably mcnulty and biamou assuming Thomas is out the picture.

I think too many are over looking Haynes best abilities and focusing on his previous defensive lapses.

I'm calling for him to be played on the left wing in a 442 or as you suggest in a 352/532. Haynes can beat his man and proven it time and time again. He runs the channel like a traditional winger gets to the byline and delivers fair ball into the box and can also cut inside and score with his right foot.

Agree, this formation with an additional centre half could be effective. You could play jones through the middle
