My mutual consent. Has he ever had success as a manager? Such a fantastic player, but doesn't seem to have the ability as a manager.

He took Southampton to the cup final but I can’t really think of any other successes. Celtic doesn’t count before anyone mentions that.

would be interesting to see who comes in, Moyes would be the wrong choice in my opinion. They will just make the same mistakes they have been doing under Strach. In truth they have a poor team with no one really standing out as a top player having said that neither to N Ireland but they are overachieving at the moment.

Malky Mackay. Didn’t think he’d get a job again.

He was already in post as 'performance director', appointment is interim. It will probably be Moyes who I certainly don't rate.

The best of the home nations managers is the Northern Ireland boss who seems to get them very organised and makes the best of what he has, I would swop him for useless Southgate any day and I bet he earns less than a tenth of the England manager.

Couldn’t agree more.

They should go for one of the mid table SPL managers who is constantly doing better than expectations and putting up good performances against the old firm. More similarities with the Scotland job than picking managers who walk the league with Celtic every year.

Think qualifying for the Champions League last sixteen whilst playing in a Mickey Mouse league could maybe be called success

It wasn’t the hardest group in the world to get out of. Milan were decent back then but Benfica and Donetsk weren’t anything special.

you might want to look at what Donetsk budget was compared to Celtics, he did well to get them out of the group.
Always intrigues me what a divisive character Strachan is, really divides opinion, especially when you talk to City or Celtic supporters about him.

I like him. He’s a character and the game is lacking them. They way how he left Middlesbrough says a lot about him. I just don’t think he’s much cop as a manager.

I quite liked WGS Aprt from the cup winning team,he assembled two of the best football playing squads I've seen at high field road. The team with Dublin Huckerby and whelan were a joy to watch in the 97/98 season and the 99/00'squad weren't too shabby either

I just think he stayed one season longer then he should of

A decent manager and doubt what he said was any worse than the Labour MP who has managed to remain. Apparently ok as it was in his past. Seems football people should be beyond reproach but elected mps don't need to be.

A lot of MPs are completely incompetent and have no idea about the real world.

In one game in charge of Celtic he was sent to the stands, however he wouldn't go as he wasn't allowed to bring Paul Telfer with him

Or Gary Pendry
