Bugger all! Maybe a bit early. I only went today because I was bored sitting at home. I usually start at the end of May for Bass and Mackerel. Last year was absolute shite for Mackerel. I normally lift an average of 10-12 a day but last year, I didn't bag a single one? Reckon they've buggered off from these waters! We'll see later in the year.let us know how you get on. I'm across the water from you (Bournemouth)

Great photos H. Even though I have visited the island several times I've seen very little of it. My trips have consisted mainly of stumbling around Robin Hill absolutely battered at Bestival! Will have to try and get down there and see it properly.Because the fishing was a no-show, I decided to have a drive round with my camera instead. Freshwater Bay, the Military Rd and the Needles.
If you have Tesco Clubcard vouchers you can triple the value and use them on wightlink mate.@Houchens Head Where's the best place to get cheap ferry tickets?
Residents (me, for example) get vouchers from time to time from Red Funnel. They usually last for couple of months and are for various things like, "Only £35 Day Return", "15% off any duration", "20% off 2 nights or more" etc, etc. Like I said, these are sent out to every island resident, but they can be sent to friends and family on the mainland, so if anyone wants to use these, let me know. I have the latest vouchers but won't be using them because I'm waiting for a knee replacement operation, so can't travel yet.@Houchens Head Where's the best place to get cheap ferry tickets?
I only went to Bestival once - in 2012. I got in free as I was working there for Hospital Radio, doing interviews etc. Couple of pics from that weekend. (I'm the one in the black baseball cap!).........Great photos H. Even though I have visited the island several times I've seen very little of it. Just a thought. If you wanted to come to the island for the day and leave the car in Southsea, hop on the hovercraft. They often have discounts and offers. It only takes 10 minutes and is quite an experience!I'd be great to have one as a surprise for my girlfriend if it is going spare still? Hope the knee gets sorted soon.

Not a cloud in the sky, does that happen often in the IOW?Because the fishing was a no-show, I decided to have a drive round with my camera instead. Freshwater Bay, the Military Rd and the Needles.

Duh! I was standing on a slope! Plus, if I knew this was a photography competition I would have entered better pics. Still, you carry on slagging them off mate, if it makes you feel better. x x x :emoji_middle_finger:Not a cloud in the sky, does that happen often in the IOW?
PS. Always try to get the horizon straight!
My word you are certainly touchy! I was merely making a suggestion to improve your photos.Duh! I was standing on a slope!
