Game postponed but its looking like the cause was a fan's flare or similar rather than anything more sinister.
So it was an actual bomb?

Was all over twitter. Doesn't seem much damage for a bomb and if it was a terrorist attack I wouldn't have thought they'd have quickly rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon.Where did it say it was a flare, Dave?
Just what is the point?
Are we to expect this every week now?
Luckily the team buses seem to have strengthened glass fitted, could have been more serious injuries if not.
Massive respect to Dortmund fans for their #BedForAwayFans
now we know how middle east feels?
Are "we" (Britain, France, Germany etc) in a civil war?
The citizens of these countries aren't personally going over the the ME and killing innocent civilians.
the people of these countries are. they are called soldiers
you dont really think that people of ME should be like "oh well its not steve from the chippy killing me, its steve who decided to join the army whos killing me. thats ok"
But you're saying, people get killed daily in the ME, so if people get killed here, that's okay?
of course it is not ok,what an idiotic thing to say
all i said was maybe now we have a better understanding of how people in ME feel like? in constant worry 1 day to the next.
Sorry it just comes across a bit "well, we deserve it" sometimes when people say we should expect it etc.
I know exactly what you mean, and can only imagine what these people go through daily, but these "people" committing attacks in the West are not helping those in the ME. They are making it worse and moving away from a solution.
The only thing I will say, is it can never be understood here. Do you leave your house thinking I may be killed today? Those in Syria or wherever, do.
sorry i snapped at you
i do not think we deserve it at all. just like people of syria and other countries dont deserve it.
i just dont like people on facebook or whatever acting so shocked and surprised when they have turned a blind eye to whats happening to other people on purpose. but now all of a sudden daily terrorism is a new thing to them.
we have lived in a evil world for a long time now and i think it will be a long time till it changes for the better unfortuntley
But terrorism deaths in Europe have declines rapidly compared to the 70s and 80s. This idea that we're in particular danger is a media invention.Terror in Europe is now becoming quite normalised, and actually excused.
Yes, western foreign policy has not been good, and we should just leave the whole region alone. This doesn't mean however that what is happening here should be belittled.
The lights on the Eiffel Tower get blacked out in 'solidarity' about once a week now. At this point they might as well turn the lights off permanently...

It's not more unsafe than 25 years ago. I'm trying to take emotion out of this and look at it as objectively as possible and the fact is you're miss less likely to be caught up in a terrorist attack now than you were then.I wasn't alive in the 70's and 80's, and the political situations then are a lot different from now, things are a lot more stable. I was however alive 25 years ago and Europe is a considerably more unsafer place now than it was then.
The argument you've used just looks like a bit of an excuse, without trying to have a dig here. The media if anything are doing a good job of covering a lot of this up.

I'm not even trying to suggest the media have an agenda as such just that we live in an ago where news travels so fast you hear about something going on in Sweden or Germany whereas previously, even if it did make news, it would be buried somewhere in a paper that didn't register to the same degree.

Agreed.
I hope this comes across properly, but here goes, I think this is because it's NOT expected here. Whereas if we had a civil war going on in Britain, it would be fair game to a certain extent. At the minute, I wouldn't think twice about a car trying to run me over on purpose. Not that I'm an oblivious person, I just don't walk around worrying about what may happen.
Now, if we were in a war zone, I'd be fully prepared and expecting to be targeted randomly in the street etc. I'm not saying what's happening in the ME is okay, but at least they are prepared to be attacked etc?
I hope that makes sense.
how is it being excused or belittled???
