On a totally different topic, I called in my local Tesco at Warwick this morning at and there was a bloke and son both decked out in City kits. (I go in that shop a lot and it''s a very rare sight. Just shows how an occasion like yesterday can affect how people feel about the club. (P.P.S. Why wasn't the boy at school ?!!! - let him off as he's a City fan)

Asked about prices a week or so back. Early meetings indicated that there would be no reduction in prices at all.
I would love a price around £200 and Imo would sell a few more on that.
They should realise that prices as much as a shit product loses supporters.

They should start selling early to get revenue and accurate budget projections.

Problem is they'd have to have a big hike after the early discount to get early buyers. If they didn't achieve it and prices rocket then what?

For me, there needs to be an incentive. The club know these sales are going to be down so somewhere in their sales and marketing department they will (you'd hope!) have a plan on how to combat that.

For me, I'd have had some marketing materials and a campaign of sorts for this morning "Season Tickets on sale from today - 10% off if brought this week" Or any type of hook to get people in. If we l had lost...so be it but this was too big of an opportunity to miss.

It will be but by definition the quality is declining. Admittedly though if the sane argument was used last season of we got promoted fans wouldn't accept it.

Inferior to what? Previous season? Using that logic if Liverpool finish 2nd this season and 5th the year after - should they drop their prices? The match day operation, within a little will cost the same regardless of what league we are in (lower leagues anyway)

Maybe not many but the poster i was quoting seemed to think so.

Funnily enough I only went out once today for a hospital appointment and saw two people wearing City shirts. Weird to see such a thing. Old shirts though.

if you want to be pedantic your point is correct but finishing 3 places lower in the same league isn't the same as been relegated to the lower league for the vast majority of people.
I'm sure the club won't be paying league 1 wages next year.

Sure but the point I was making is - Is there that much difference between League 1 and League 2? So the same way very little difference between a few places in the top 5 of the Premier League. I'm not sure there is. Fisher said that our wage bill will be in the top 8 of League 2. I would imagine he has forecast that based on our current revenue streams (or at least an average over the 9 months of a season)

I'd be interested to know how many season tickets they intend on selling...I.E what have they forecast? I'd assume this has taken place already?

It would indeed be interesting to know how many ST sales they've based their financial projections on.
If sales are going to be as poor as the anecdotal evidence suggests then I'm fairly sure they will have to supplement the playing budget with either a player sle or the Checkatrade money.
Having said that, if Portsmouth and Plymouth come up them I'm fairly sure that most teams in that league will average 5-6000 max which we should be able to match.

Cash in virtually stops in April through the summer. The Wembley money will be needed and so will some player sales just to get a budget next season.

I make it 8 managers around 90-100 players (conservatively).
Reduced player budgets on increased turnover.
I mean how on earth?
The man is an irrefutable failure without the slightest regard to 'competing '.IMO

Don't know how these things work and who has the rights, but you would think the club could shift 20,000 plus copies of the Checkatrade final dvd - surely they could boost their budget for next season with that. Not being funny, but even if they charged a few quid extra per copy, I would have thought most people would cherish a 'proper' copy as a memory of the day? (even some of the 'daytrippers' - no insult intended)

There will probably be knock off version out soon H .
So many entrepreneurs feeding off the clubs back in the lead up to the game..
