Slade Out (1 Viewer)

He's come in, had a transfer window whilst keeping our so called 'better player' to improve the squad and we've won one game. Also conceded very late in at least three other games to drop points.

Time to go. You have not been good enough and there's no way you are going to take us back to League 1 next season. I also don't want you to be the man to lead us out at Wembley.

Let's get the right man in to get us promoted to League 1 again. Someone young and hungry.

Agree. Get him out.

Problem is no manager can come in now and turn this around.

At the same time what's the point in getting a new manager to start building for next season in L2? A new manager will lose 80% of the current squad either through end of contracts or being sold off.

Sisu and Fisher have created a never ending downward spiral.

Either way us fans have been fucked up the ass.

It's over.

We needed a manager with lower league experience. Unfortunately it turns out Slade has so much lower league experience because he's absolutely awful!

Bit pointless. No new manager is going to save us now. May as well stick with him. I thought he would get us out of the mire; how wrong I was.

IT's not about saving us, it is about preparation for next year. It is the same mistake as delaying Slade's appointment until the eve of the transfer window. A new manager at least could try and set some deals up before the summer window opens. Or at least have a clear idea of what they require.

It's not about saving us, we're already down and were probably goners weeks ago anyway. We need someone in now who has 6 months then to prepare for League Two.

True and i agree with you but i doubt he will walk and he certainly won't be sacked. Wembley and all that. He's here until the end of the season, like it or not.

Only worth while if we have someone who is going to come in, assess the players, start enquiries for the summer and start teaching the players a proper style for next season.

I doubt such a manager is out there and if they are I doubt they'd want to come and work here.

Most of the players are not good enough even for L2. A handful of posters were pointing that out early in the season but unfortunately the vast majority of posters on SBT had their sky blue blinkers on. SISU won't improve the squad next year and, I'll say it now, there is a very real chance we will be relegated to non-league. Time to put real pressure on the true villains in this mess.

Relegation to non league is very much on the cards team not good enough, loanees and short contracts players will leave along with Willis, Stevenson and probably Harres, budget will likely to be at best be same as this season and there will be as many as 10 players to sign.
Oh and also remember we'll have no ground.

Losing 80% of the squad sounds good to me

Here we go again......manager under fire, days numbered, club officials dive for cover, manager sacked, cheapest possible option in to replace, a few old friends of said new man join to top up pension, whole squad revamped once again in the sumer with a few not quite ready academy kids thrust in to plug the gaps, rinse repeat, rinse repeat, club spirals downwards but the shits at the top cling on for the rewards from Wembley and anything else they can try and sell !!
Fucking depressing !

I agree...he needs to go now.

As for losing 80% of the squad...good. A new manager would then have time to plan who to get in and work on that so that they're in for a full pre-season rather than last minute shit in August.

I didn't hear all his after match ramblings as I wanted to call in at Morrisons but if that was after the best week of training then it says something about the people coaching, he must go as this is getting embarrassing.

I'd be more than happy to see Slade sacked and Ricketts take over for the rest of the season. I know it's defeatist but we're down, no way this lot are staying up.

Slade's tactics, team selections and signings have quite frankly, been atrocious.

They should get next years manager in now do he can sort out who is staying and going so that twat Venus gets nowhere near that.

I think if it is at all possible we should go with who is going to be managing us next season.

If that's to be Slade, fine, but if he is definitely going I really can't see the point in him being here for the rest of the campaign.

No point sacking him now he goes at the end of the season anyway. A new manager should get a full pre-season to deal with the usual massive turnaround of players.

Definitely time to get rid, although it will cost us money to do so as I doubt he will walk.

He inherited a poison chalice, but he's done zero to rectify that and I would argue we are in a worse position (metaphorically speaking) than when he took over.

His tactics and team selections are appalling; it is genuinely the worst football I have ever witnessed. He's absolutely clueless and I've no idea how he's achieved some of the things he has in his career.

Arguably one of the worst managers we have ever had.

If possible let's get someone in who will be here next season, he can review the squad and begin the process of recruiting for next year. I'd also like to see some of the youngsters/fringe players given a chance, they could do no worse than the teams Slade puts out.
