After a somewhat longer gestation period than I expected this program is finally airing on BBC1 Sun 19th Feb at 9.00pm. I hope they stick the original ending its 'interesting' to say the least. When you see it I think you will understand the delay some very very influential people will have had to have agreed to transmission.

The book is well worth a read. Be a bit dated now but Deighton writes a great story, The Ipcress File, for instance.

Sure it will seem better once more familiarised with the characters.

What's wrong with nice tidy endings where all of the obvious i's are dotted and t's crossed, so that idiots like me are not left with as many questions as answers? :-(

Waded through the first episode last night and thought it was idiotic, convoluted conspiracy nonsense like most TV series these days.

I sort of half liked it, buy also found it a bit irritating. Shame. It's a great premise.

I already got stung by The Man in the High Castle which has a very similar premise, don't intend to make the same mistake again.

Really liked first series of man in the high castle and enjoyed the book...v different. As for SS GB I thought it was ok. Some strong performances but somehow not quite 'realistic' enough. I will read the book though to see if it's any better.

When I first saw the title I thought it was drama about a cruise ship or even a post-brexit Britain. Might have been better if it had been.
