Seen some things saying he is a solid player at this level but never really heard of him before. Good signing or not?

All the wolves fans I've asked have said pretty much the same thing about him being a reliable workhorse type of player. Could be what we need

Wolves fan I know said he's the most reliable defender they've had in the last decade but the slowest professional
Footballer he's ever seen!

Key question: Can he header a ball?

One thing we've been lacking for years (apart from Reda), someone who can get their head on the ball and get it out the box.

Based on him not yet having played a match for the City I would say he looks a great tackler, has a good engine, is poised on the ball and looks a great buy.
We'll soon knock that out of him;)

Seems a contradiction to me

Not really maybe 99% of the time his reading and positioning of the game compensates for his lack of pace so doesn't have to try and catch up with play and players.

Just don't expect 70 yard Cyrus Christie charges.

From the reviews and comments from other clubs he is a steady player which is exactly what we need. A lot of the youngsters we currently have cannot sustain a 7/10 each game, generally they would have a decent game then a mare. Calm heads at the back is what we require to get out of the league, build on this then get a star striker to go for promotion (next year of course!)

Sorry but how can we have an opinion on a player we haven't seen play ?
Lets give him half a dozen games before we decide if the guy is a good
signing eh.

He means opinions from charlton, wolves or anyone who's seen him play, am I the only one who likes to check what other clubs opinions are of players we sign? Of course sometimes they're wrong but it's nice to know

Kevin Foley has been an extremely consistent performer for years with the clubs he has played for. Similar type of a player to Denis Irwin at Man Utd but obviously at a lower level. He's not going to be great in the air like Reda as someone has asked earlier. I think he'll prove to be a very astute signing.

That's not the Coventry way, Otis. Not having seen him play, I can catagorically state that he is rubbish and a wasted signing. That's the way to do it!

I think we should have signed <insert name of random player released by their club or seen on tele>. He'd be much better.

You mean he posted a question on SBT to other club's fans fishing for their opinions on SBT?
Didn't think that one through did he?

Because other people may know of fans of them respective clubs, it's really not that stupid as some people know way more about foley than others as you can see with the replies that actually answer his question.

As long as he is happy with opinions of others formed from other people's opinions that will do then I guess
