He's not really here. It's Andy Thorn's return and they are hoping with the Telegraph ban, Foster constantly flummoxed and from a distance no one will notice the difference.

Don't think anybody can be arsed anymore. I feel, We have had the heart ripped out of anything to do with CCFC. When I saw the news about Mr Slade I just skipped over it and read some other crap.

Hoping Slade will say - have the smallest and youngest defence in the league, hoping to get some big ugly fOOkers who can actually head a ball clear, have the softest midfield in the league getting an "uncle nasty" type midfielder to tackle anything that moves even his own players, getting a target man up front who actually upsets the oppositions defence. Planning to score from a set piece, very popular means of scoring.

Big ugly fookers?

Didn't realise Slade would be in the starting lineup?

I kind of feel sorry for the bloke and kind of dont. He must know what a clusterfuck he is walking in to, he would have taken advice and sounded people out in the game surely before making the decision. I admire the fact that he thinks he can do something with what their is available and if he keeps us up then thats success as far as i am concerned.

Think you may have got that spot on :)

He's the right sort of guy at this level, sadly he's just landed himself a job at the wrong sort of club. I'm sure he will find out soon enough that he will be SISU's punch bag for a while , taking the heat off them. Won't be long before the hedge funds greatest fans on here are blaming him for all the failings !

Maybe you will be able to have some input on the football and his tactics? Doubt it though.

I doubt it too, you know my stance at the moment ! I'll be back when the scum have left though.

Maybe you can see why people sometimes blame managers when they can see with their own eyes the stupid things they are doing, whereas you don't see any of it and can say it's not their fault.

Not quite advocating the Crazy Gang of the late 80s but Eric Young, Vinnie & Fash style players would ensure the opposition management have to rethink their approach rather than, they're young small and weak just get stuck into them.

I went to 18 games last season and before that apart from Northampton spent my whole life chasing round the country following the City. This season I've drawn my line in the sand ! Does watching the odd clips on TV count ?

Nothing to lose for him really when he can walk away at the end of the season and point to a basket case club that were already in the bottom 4. It's not like he's on a 3 year contract.

Same with any manager here, if he does well he is a hero, if he is awful it isnt his fault.

You post some drivel but that takes the biscuit. If there's one benefit of working for sisu it's that no matter how much you fuck up they'll get the blame.
Some of the fuck ups Mowbray made that people tried to pin on the owners were unbelievable.

It can't be easy working for the club in it's current state with owners who don't care and a cretin for a chairman but you're guaranteed one thing, no matter how much you fuck up, you'll walk away with your reputation in tact because n one will blame you, even if you have been playing a 6 stone winger in centre mid and your best striker on the wing.

Anyone know anything about his style?

Does he change it a lot, keep it simple, or use different formations? Keen to find out more.

From comments I've read it is 4-4-2 and defend deep.

Said to be good on man management & motivation, definitely will improve on the dour MV.
“The game is not simply about tactics, the best formation or who’s got the better technical players. Sometimes it’s about that will to win.
Also decent record on lower league free transfer market.

Worth a read.
