nice idea but scum is a term our fierce rivals use againts us, bad idea saying that here but im sure saints will still support u guys throughtout bad ownership and good luck with it, staying up from where you are now will be a hard ask if nothing is done soon

Who said football fans don’t do irony!
As a Saints supporter living about 30 minutes from the Ricoh Stadium, I follow the events at Coventry City with interest. Especially as I can remember the “praise” and “relief” displayed by some of your fans when SISU abandoned their bid for Southampton FC and decided to “purchase” Coventry instead.
Please note I said some of your fans, not all. There were those who were unhappy about being taken over by a hedge fund. It’s all a bit unfortunate now that those wiser heads did not prevail and went unheeded.
Before you think I’m criticising Sky Blue fans; I’m not. For during our bad times we too had many who wanted Delieu and the Ransom/SISU consortium in charge at St Mary’s. None more so than our erstwhile and wannabee legends. To be fair, those sentiments were mostly a reaction to the group of financial pygmies we had in charge before Rupert Lowe’s sent our club into Administration.
Thankfully, we were bought by a gentleman who was wise enough before his sad and untimely death, to put someone who knows the football business in charge of our affairs. The former a German/Swiss and the latter an Italian/Swiss (this infuriates the “Euroseptic” and populist element in our midst). Our current CEO has brought a much needed dose of realism and is slowly gaining respect despite the off stage antics of the local press and certain reactionary groups.
However, I’ve no doubt, should we hit a bad spell (we will) and should we fail to gain promotion this season (still likely), then we too will have an uprising on our hands.
If ever you want me to sign a petition or go on a demo to save our football clubs from either the machinations of Football Assoc or those of the League, who have turned our great game into the largest money laundering process ever invented; then I’m your man.
In the meantime good luck, I hope you get matters sorted out soon, for I’m looking forward to visiting you in January for the next round of the FA cup and for the Olympics later in the year.

Hi You have my sympathy with the situation at Cov, however, there are a couple of problems with putting your request on here,
1) a good few of us on here are unable to get to matches through various reasons.
2) those who do get to the matches are a miniscule portion of the crowd, probably numbering in the tens, not even into the hundreds.
I am guessing that you would have visited other Saints sites as well as this.
Good luck with it and I hope that you can get my fellow Saints fans to join in your verbal assault at the game.
